At least overnight if you painted it in the morning. To help speed dry time wait 3-4 hours, then put a fan in the room to increase air circulation, and hence, lower dry time.

First check the directions on the can. Usually they say 24 hrs. Also depends on if your using oil base or latex. But I've found it should be 24 hrs to be safe. Go to the DIY.com for more info it s a site thats really helpful.

Overnight is best or at least 3-4 hours.

24 hours. You have chipping paint if you don't let it dry properly

overnight, I just painted mine yesterday and is good to go now.
