but if you have a home owners association, you have to check with them. They may have height restrictions.

Check your local laws...call City Hall or the equivalent and ask. In my town, we can build fences between 4 & 6 feet, but not shorter than 4 feet and not taller than 6 feet. It's the law, here.
What you want to know is, what is the law where you live? And without us knowing where you live, it's kind of pointless for us to try to answer that question for you. However, your local City government can easily answer that question for you. Give them a call!

This is often down to local council by-laws, but the usual maximum is 6 foot (unless it can be proved that you will be taking more light from your neighbour than the current boundary takes).

fences in between friends facilitates have a feeling of privateness and wellbeing, so i admire construction some very stable fences, yet in addition tear down issues, fences, etc that are in between what i'm desiring in life while mandatory or obtainable.

Fences can be 6ft if they are solid...the way you can make it higher is to attach trellis to the top

6ft is the max if u go by the law,less for the frontage of a property,but it also depends where u are located .

I don't think you can build it any higher than about 3ft in your front garden without permission.

6ft possibly add 2ft of open trelliswork on top of that, not sure about the trellis though.
