I just switched from the patch to the pill. The doctor never told me anything about waiting seven days for it to kick in. So last night i had sex not thinking anything about. So this mornig I read that you have to wait seven days. The thing is , is that i started the pill when i would have started a new month of the patch. What should I do? Should I take plan b or will i be fine? If i do take plan b how do i start taking the pills again? I'm confused..help.

I was just wondering if anyone had ever had experience with taking seasonal allergy medications (like claritin) while taking birth control. I know that some medications make the birth control inneffective, and I was just wondering if this was one of them.

And for those of you who are rolling your eyes telling me to go to my doctor, I'm planning on it, but my schedule is extremely full for the next few weeks and I'm just wondering if anyone knows.

i had a biopsy done, where they ran 3 different tests. i got my insurance list bill the other day, and the 3 tests were not covered. i know that i will be having more lab tests done in the future so is there another type of insurance that covers this? i have a PPO.

Is there a professional MD or RN that can answer this question? I had a baby 2yrs. ago (March 2005), & shortly after delivery, I had the depo shot. Last May I stopped getting the shot, & my period never really came until a few months ago. & When it did, it wasn't like it used to be. It is very dark & it lasts for like a week. For the most part my boyfriend & I always use protection, except one time when I was on my period. Anyway, my breasts (just my nipples) have been sore. They feel like they did when I first found out I was pregnant. What are the chances of me getting pregnant while on my period?

I didn't get my first period until I was fifteen. When I did...it was super heavy. It didn't come againt until a good six months later and it was extremely heavy again. I finally went to a doctor and my hormone levels seemed okay. He prescribed progesterone and I took that once a month for a few years. My period finally seemed to come with about a month and a half long cycles. I went on birth control for two years when I got married. I just went off in December and am hoping to conceive. I didn't get my period, went back to the doctor he gave me progesterone and took more blood tests.

Testerone was a normal high....LH was higher since I hadn't ovulated. My doctor thinks it could be PCOS due to the LH/FSH ratio.

I'm 5'6", 119 lbs, and have no other symptoms of PCOS. Thyroid is good!

He wants me to try Medformin....

Will this work to regulate cycles? Does this sound like PCOS? Or just my body trying to kick into a cycle after being on the pill? Any info. would be helpful=)

I hate getting razor burn when I shave my legs but it happens every time. I use a good moisturizing shaving cream and a good razor but it doesn't help. I don't have sensitive skin, so I'm clueless as to why it keeps happening. Any suggestions as to how to avoid this ?

I hate being one of those women on here, but I have to ask.

I just finished my third month of being on the pill. I know that periods can take a while to sort themselves out when you first start the pill. But I'm four days into my "no pill" week, and I haven't started my period yet. The first two months I was on the pill, it started later and was shorter, but I still had it.

I haven't missed a single pill, and I've been on time all but twice, and I took the pill the moment I remember (6 a.m. both times the next morning). Yes, I've had intercourse.

I had cramping four nights ago, and then I've had nothing since.

Should I be worried? Does this fall under the realm of "normal" for a newer pill user?

I'd really rather not do a pregnancy test until I show more signs of a reason to think I'm pregnant.

I think that's all of the details. No lectures about "unprotected sex." I've been with my boyfriend for four years, and I'm 28.

The past two months my period has been AWFUL! Super heavy, sorta clotty and the agony of the cramps are almost unbearable. The cramps aren't all day, i can take a goody's powder and it wil halp a little, but I am still heavy and i get a few clots, not ALOT but enuff! Could I be having a Miscarriage and not know?? Hi. I am a femle in my late 20's. Over the past week I have been having lower back pain (not bad but enough to aggravate), tiny bit of bleeding but it is not time for my period. when i say tiny bit i mean TINY. It started a few days ago and does not show up everyday or even everytime i go to the bathroom and wipe. 5 days ago I felt like I was going to pass out all of a sudden and that lasted approx 30 min. I am only 30 years old but I have had 5 children. I do Kegel exercises but it doesn't help much. This problem is embarassing when I sneeze, cough, or laugh too hard. It seems to have gotten worse since my last child was born. Any serious advice would be appreciated.

I recently started getting the Depo shot. I got my first one about 3 weeks ago. I also started having sex about 4 weeks ago. It had not had sex in about 7 months. Soon after I started having sex again, I started to bleed. It has not been that much blood,but just spotting really. It has been going on ever since. Is this related to the birth control? How much longer will it last?
