I recently started getting the Depo shot. I got my first one about 3 weeks ago. I also started having sex about 4 weeks ago. It had not had sex in about 7 months. Soon after I started having sex again, I started to bleed. It has not been that much blood,but just spotting really. It has been going on ever since. Is this related to the birth control? How much longer will it last?

yes it is related to the birth control. your body is getting used to the hormones. theres no telling how long it will last. if it become excessive in amount of time your having it, go to the doc

I was on the Depro shot for almost one year and had to get off of it because of spotting the whole time and had pains in my ovaries. I had to get off and use the pill which works fine. with the pill at least you know when you will start and can plann things around it.
