i had a biopsy done, where they ran 3 different tests. i got my insurance list bill the other day, and the 3 tests were not covered. i know that i will be having more lab tests done in the future so is there another type of insurance that covers this? i have a PPO.

Almost all health insurance companies that I have had have paid for labs. It sounds like you don't have very good health insurance. You may want to try a website that compares multiple companies at once to get you the best price. I am paying less than ½ after I did.

Call your insurance company to see why they didnt cover the tests. Sometimes a test isnt ocvered because the Drs office used a code that is no longer valid or the diagnosis didnt match one that the test was used for. Also if the labs were read out of network they may not be covered.

My HMO, Health Net, covers all/most lab work.
