I have been feeling very "different" lately and I am afraid it might be my body going through the change. I am going to be 27 in a few weeks and I have become extremely depressed and have gained a few pounds and I am very emotional. My mother went through her change at 29 so maybe thats whats wrong with me. I want to see a doctor but I am not sure if I should ask for my general doc or some sort of hormone specialist. I have had my tubes tied so I know I am not prego. Please help...Thanks!

I would like to cleanse my colon but I want a safe as well as effective way to do it. I have seen pictures of peoples stools after they have used colon cleansers and I couldn't believe all the massive release of yearly buildup shown in those pictures. I would also like to expel any and all buildup in my colon as well.

When doing a pap smear, can your doctor see your uterus? Can they tell if you are pregnant by just "looking" while doing a pap smear?

Apart from contraceptive pills and the 'woman's condom', is there any other way of contraception that a woman could use?

I have heard of something like a plaster thing that you just stick on somewhere on the body and this help contraception, does it really help? If yes, where could I buy it and how much. Thx

I'm 14 years old, 5'7, and 136 pounds and I think I'm ready to lose some of that winter weight. Any tips on how I could do this without going on a diet and without my parents being involved or knowing? I'm very flabby around the stomach and hip area so any workout's you know that specifically target those areas would really help. Thank-you!

I am 24 and I am a virgin. I have the hardest time inserting tampons and fingers. Everything feels so tight and it hurts. I can see my hymen with a mirror and I tried to break it myself but I cannot find the opening. I would like to ask a doctor to do it for me. Does anyone know if you can ask them to just do it during your regular check up or something or do I need to request a pelvic exam and hope it does the job? I researched about a hymenectomy but I know that is a little extreme and I do not have medical insurance right now.

I did the progesterone challenge to help bring on a period. I took Provera for 10 days and my last pill was 2/14 at night. I still have no signs of getting my period. I have taken a HPT which was negative. Why would my period not come? I have done this before and it has always worked. I have PCOS, and am also on 2000mg of metformin daily. Thanks.

Has anyone actually used these pills and gotten any results? Their adds are very convincing and I'm thinking about trying them. If you have any suggestions about which pills work best or if you have any personal experience with them please help me decide!

My daughter is 12 years old and has not started her menstral cycle yet. She has been shaving her legs since she was 8 and she has dark hair above her upper lip. She also has dark hair in numerous other areas. We've just noticed a couple of dark hairs under her chin. Does this sound like hiritisum or will this calm down after she starts her period. Please help!!!!!

I have this sharp pain that seems to alternate between right and left sides about 10 days before my period starts. I think it might be ovulation. The pain lasts for about 30 minutes and is so sharp that I can hardly breathe or move. I can't stand upright and usually curl up in the fetal position until it subsides. Does anyone else have any problems like this? Could it be that I can tell when I am ovulating?

I am looking for creams, lotions or something along those lines, I don't want to have any surgeries or injections. I am in my early 30's and starting to notice some signs of aging. I would actually like to have something that works fairly quickly, to see great results in 4-5 weeks. And also something to maintain that and to help prevent getting more. Areas of concern are of course the face and also the thighs/buttocks, stomach, neck area. Thank you for any help.

I am 29 years old and suffer from severe ovarian cysts. They are very painful. I was put on birth control, but that caused blood clotting that started in my legs and then went to my lungs. I have been told that I can never do hormonal therapy again. My doctor has told me that I will have to have my ovaries removed. I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem, and what other options are out there? Any suggestions!!
