I don't remember feeling badly emotionally, although that could be from the hormones in the IUD. Some people don't react well to progesterone, so if this continues for more than a couple of weeks, you should visit your doctor and certainly call them sooner if it becomes unbearable or overwhelming.

I had previously been on a progesterone pill so I was probably used to any changes in emotion brought about by hormone leves, though the level in the Mirena is quite low.
I had cramping for a couple of days, but all good since (6 weeks).
I got mine to stop heavy bleeding.

I don't remember feeling low as such, but had very severe cramps for about 2 weeks, so much so I nearly had it taken out, and being in constant pain can make you feel low. I have had it 9 years now (with 1 change which caused cramping again for about 3 days) but never had a period since having it, which kind of makes up for the 2 weeks of pain!

I did feel a little low but think this was due to the pain initially. It is highly unlikely that the hormone in it will have affected you in this way as it doesnt get into your blood stream like it would do if you took progesterone orally. There is the same amount of progesterone in a mirena to last five years ( current uk limit) as there is in just four days of the oral pill.

like the first poster said, it truly works like quite a few different hormonal birth control. it really is conceivable notwithstanding to get pregnant with and IUD even if it shifts or no longer. i'd pass ahead and perhaps get a blood attempt to make sure if you're pregnant. in line with probability if you're, it really is totally risky to have the IUD nevertheless in position and it should be bumped off if you're. also if being pregnant takes position with the IUD, it has a intense probability of being an ectopic (tubal) being pregnant. With all that being said, there have been pregnancies which have got here about with an IUD in position and they were favourite pregnancies. i'd pass decrease back to the Dr. and characteristic a blood try performed to be positive and tell them about your indications. optimistically it really is only a abdomen computer virus or some thing.
