Sharp pain before menstruation......?

Question

I have this sharp pain that seems to alternate between right and left sides about 10 days before my period starts. I think it might be ovulation. The pain lasts for about 30 minutes and is so sharp that I can hardly breathe or move. I can't stand upright and usually curl up in the fetal position until it subsides. Does anyone else have any problems like this? Could it be that I can tell when I am ovulating?

You should discuss this with a trusted adult and your doctor. You may have a cyst on your ovaries, which is common (I'm told). I have had one myself and experienced many of the same symptoms you described. I was about 15 when I was comfortable enough to talk about the ovulation pains although I had my menses for 4 years. Anyway - my doctor said that I had a large cyst on my right ovary and prescribed birth control pills to shrink it. I refused to take the pills and just learned to get by on Ibuprofen, a heat pack and rest. I also had heavy - painful periods that would make me violently ill for at least 2 days. I also always had period related migraines.

This sort of feeling is common in some.it will last in the initial period for some maybe few years and for some it will be continued until they get married.After marriage there are lt of changes in there hormones which relieve them with this problem.Some females even have migraines during periods.There are lot of herbal remedies which give much relief you can contact online on www.unanidoctors.com

yes i happen to get this sharp pains also or this is even more strange my vagina will hurt when i go to the bathroom and i have to get in fetal postion until it stops hurting. i also get migranes which are really bad and all this begins about a wk before my period
