Women's Health - February 2007

My husband and I are going away this weekend and I just realized that I will have my period this weekend. And clearly I don't want that. I have birth control pills that I don't regularly take because my tubes are tied. Does anyone know if I start taking pills now do I have any chance of stopping my period from coming this weekend??

Ok , im on orthotryclen lo , i am on my green pills right now, i have about 5 left. However my pharmacy told me that i won't get my refill until a week, which means i will be missing a few days. If i can't start this sunday and have to start next sunday-is that going to be ok? Meaning i may have to wait a whole week to start my new pack. I wont have sex during the week im off-but will i be protected once i start my pills next sunday?? or is it going to screw up the whole cycle??

in a few months, im going to be going into highschool, i have NO idea at all what i want my career to be. is that bad? my parents are mad cuz i dont know and i only have 4 years till college. I think i want to do something with acting or modeling but that is not a consistent career. All of my friends think i should do that and even my relatives and me but my parents say that i wont get a job in those careers because you get like one job booking a month. and that wont be enough to keep me in a house and food. but those seem like the only fun jobs that interest me.

I am only in the middle of my teens, and i have strech marks on my inner thighs and my butt. I am really skinny and only weigh like 135 pounds and very tall. I am athletic and i get a lot of exercise. How do i get rid of them? i have tried almost every type of cream but they won't go away. I was thinking about surgury. does any one have any reccomendations?

I am 15 yrs. old. I have been with my boyfriend for 5 years. This is only the second time i had sex with him. My mom knows. and she was upset but i told her i was comfortable. we told me doctor and he does not recommend me going on bc for some odd reason. anyways on dec. 27 i had sex with him. I had a normal period on jan. 8. but just in case i took a test 24 and 32 days after i had sex. they both were negative. lately i been having cramps but i am due any day. my breast are also a little sour. just started to yesterday. but like i said i am due in a day or two.also my boobs seem darker. but i think i am just worrying and think they are. anyways the only thing i dont get is that i pee alot. but i have been worrying and my mom thinks that is why i have been peeing. Me and my mom are very close and i am glad that i opened up and told her that i did have sex. but she dont think i am. i had my period. used protection. negative test.
do you think i am though?

I been having this problem since i got my period at 13 years old. And i noticed that every time that im, worry, desperated, and nervous, my armpit will sweat, and sometimes its really embarrasing because i cant wear anything cute, cuz im going to have a big wet spot on me, and i feel so bad, that i cried one time cuz it was so bad. I tried many deodorant but nothing seems to solve the big issue in my life.

I put the patch on Christmas Eve. On Christmas Day I was throwing up about every 30 minutes. I waited until late that night to take it off and when I did, no more throwing up! Anyone else have this problem?
