I'm really worried that I will be short when I grow up...I got my period when I was 10 in 4th grade and right now I'm around 5'1.... how tall should I expect to be?

(I heard you stop growing after you get your period).

No, when mentral period starts, your growth is just slow down. Women can keep growing teller until 26, (men can grow until 23 only) however, the growing process is very very slow.
I grew a merely 4cm in the last 10 years, and I'm 28 already!

I don't think your period has anything to do with growth. Genetics have a big effect on how tall you'll be by the time you stop growing, so if your parents are short, there's a bigger chance you'll be the same. But not always. Some people stop growing by middle school, others don't stop until they're out of college. Don't worry about being short though! There are a lot of advantages to being tall or short.

Some people stop growing, and some people don't! I grew three inches in 6 months AFTER I had already started, so don't get down yet! Remember that either way you will be beautiful :)

But yeah, like I said - everybody's different, so you're going to have to wait it out. Sorry :(

Your period has nothing to do with growth... don't worry, you'll grow as much as your genetic code was configured to.... so... see your parents and your grandparents and you'll get a better idea.

no it is not genuine which you end starting to be. Your top is set by your genetics not while your era starts. probability is you would be the comparable top or somewhat taller than your mom. i grew to become into 12 while i began out my era yet i grew to become into 18 while i finished starting to be at 5'9". (My mom grew to become into 5'9" and her sisters & mom variety in top from 5' 4" to 5' 6" and on my father's component of the family individuals many of the girls individuals have been around 5'6" to 5'10")

You don't stop growing after you get your period.

You'll continue to grow until you're at least 18.

Relax! :)
