Yes I had serious side effects on the Yasmin, after only taking the pill for 2 weeks I experiences severe anxiety, depression, mood changes. I basically was an emotional wreck. I have been off the Yasmin for 2 months now but still dont feel myself, does anyone know how long it takes to get back to normal? I wouldn't recommend this pill to anyone! If you want more information on the side effects simply look up in google and there is many people that have experienced the same if not worse side effects in taking the Yasmin.

What are the potential side effects of the Pill?
All birth control pills can cause side effects, but these side effects are usually mild and disappear after the first few months of use. Serious side effects do not occur very often. In clinical studies, women taking YASMIN® experienced side effects similar in amount and severity to those experienced by women taking other pills.

A common side effect is vaginal bleeding between periods. You may notice some spotting or experience breakthrough bleeding. Usually, this clears up within the first few months, but it can occur later on. This type of bleeding is usually temporary and not serious.

Other possible side effects include: bloating (a feeling of weight gain), an increase in blood pressure, a spotty darkening of the skin, nausea, vomiting, change in appetite, headache, nervousness, moodiness, dizziness, loss of scalp hair, rash, and vaginal infections. If you experience any side effects while on the Pill, tell your healthcare professional. It is important to remember, though, that most side effects with the Pill are not serious and will probably clear up within a few months. For contact lens wearers, a possible side effect is a change in vision or inability to wear contacts.

All medications have side effects. Just take them like your doctor told you, if you start getting any signs, them stop taking it and call your doctor. For me they work great and it was nice to have a normal period, and on time.

I took it for awhile... I finally got off of it, It did make my period shorter and better but it made me gain a little weight which wasnt bad but I got really sick everytime I ate something rich like pasta or steak...It felt like I was pregnant, but my sister takes it know and she likes it except that if she misses just a day or is off a couple of hours she starts her period.
