My husband and I are going away this weekend and I just realized that I will have my period this weekend. And clearly I don't want that. I have birth control pills that I don't regularly take because my tubes are tied. Does anyone know if I start taking pills now do I have any chance of stopping my period from coming this weekend??

Yeah sure - if you want to totally mess up your body. Better yet, why don't you go for broke and get the Depo shot? That will stop your period, and help you to gain thirty pounds.
Girl, don't mess with your hormones! You'll be so angry on your trip, that you'll wish you would've just let nature run it's course. Just deal with it!
Or try strenuous excercise. That'll put it on hold for a few days. It always does me.

When I wanted to move my period I just took the pills without a break (more than 21 days) but I took them regularly.
Honestly, I don't think it's possible to stop your period so quickly, after a week with the pills.

im takin trinordial, and if i dont want to have a period, i just carry on taking to the next pack, and at the end of the 2nd pack i will get my period back. In your case though im not sure if it would stop them, could you speak with your gp?

I dont know much about periods because I'm a guy ,but my female friend use to tell me about a special shot that cost 100.00 a month and it prevents periods,she said she would get it from her doctor, every month. .I thought maybe this might help alittle. You could maybe ask your doctor.Good Luck
