When is the appropriate age to take a little girl to see a OB/GYN? My daughter just turned 10.

Ok, this may sound weird but I have asked everyone and no one can tell me what it might be. My nipples are very sore and they are erect, they will not go down and have been like this for 4 days. I don't know what this could be or how to treat it. I'm trying to avoid asking my doctor because it's kinda emarrassing. Any help??

K, I'm only a 16 year old girl, a sophmore, but I seem to be having problems that I thought only people in their middle ages & up would get. Ever since last night, I've been going to the bathroom & ONLY after I got done peeing, I would get a pain where I think my bladder is. & I kno I'm not peeing blood cuz my urine comes out fine so I kno the blood is from me having my period which I'm supposed to be having around this time [I don't exactly keep track of my period. Just kno when its gonna start]. & I never had ANY type of sex, especially since I'm straight edge [no drugs, no alcohol, no sex til marriage life vow for u all that don't kno wut straight edge is] so I kno that can't be a factor. I have no clue on whats going on & its only been since LAST NIGHT!!! I've been completely fine besides a few colds here & there for the past 3 years & the only problem I ever had with abdominal problems was when I had ovarion sist in 7th garde & appendisitis in 6th grade. Plz help me!!!!

Breast cancer research receives 50 times the amount of money that prostate cancer research receives.

40,000 women die per year because of breast cancer. Yet, 27,000 men die from prostate cancer.

Supposedly, dads, sons, and husbands are important to women.

How do you feel about the way-out-of-proportion amount of money that breast cancer resereach receives even though your dads and sons are just as much at risk of dying from prostate cancer?

Do you give money to breast cancer research while giving little to prostate cancer?

I had unprotected sex for the first time with my new boyfriend, and he came inside ofme, and immediately afterwards i had a horrible burning sensation on my outer vaginal area. It was so painful, but subsided after about 15-20 min. Why? I freaked him out because i was almost crying from the pain. i want to explain to him whats wrong but i dont even know.

How many days/weeks does it usually take until the ovary is fertilized by the sperm? I would like to know if I'm safe from pregnancy because on the 8th the condom fell off and I just started my period yesterday. I'm I safe then? Thanks for any and all help.

I have been having unprotected sex!! I had sex on the 5th of january through to the 15th without protection!! I did get the morning after pill and took it on the 11th but the pill only works for the last 72 hours so it doesnt cover some of the days previous!! I also stupidly continued having sex after taking the pill without protection!! I found out that my most fertile days were from the 9th - 15th of this month and i have had intercourse on those days!! Even though i took the morning after pill, is there still a chance that i could still get prenant from the 72 hours before that the pill didnt cover and also the times after taking the pill inwhich i had intercourse?? What are the chances!!

Ok so I personaly slept through all the period talks in grade school and my gyno sounds like the teachers in Charlie brown LOL so this is why I'm asking... My friend told me that she doesn't believe in birth control becasue there is a way to "time it". Now, I told her she was crazy but I felt stupid n didn't want to ask her what she ment. Im not really sure if you guys understand, but ive discribed my best....
okay, im not sure if im getting my period soon and thats y its happening but it seems kinda wierd.....
sometimes, my lower belly to my vagina (a bit below my belly button inside of my body- the inside of the vagina) would kinda hurt for 1 or 2 seconds and then stops hurting...and then it sometimes repeats a couple times and stops.....sometimes my stomach aches alot (not in the lower belly though)but i dont really get cramps unless i run (like after having my lunch)...is my period comming soon? and has this happened to you guys?

I am a competitive swimmer, and have to wear very tight, sheer swimsuits at my swim competitions, and while I'm standing around, cold and wet, of course me and my teammates all get stiff nipples. Who doesn't. But, it's very visible and often we get laughed at, and if anyone knows how to prevent the obviousness of this, please tell me for the sake of me and my teammates.
