I am a competitive swimmer, and have to wear very tight, sheer swimsuits at my swim competitions, and while I'm standing around, cold and wet, of course me and my teammates all get stiff nipples. Who doesn't. But, it's very visible and often we get laughed at, and if anyone knows how to prevent the obviousness of this, please tell me for the sake of me and my teammates. It really is embarrassing.

just put some water proof band aid across ur nipples....it works for me...all the beat with ur swimming!

good for you to swim, that is an awesome sport and the best exercise.. that is sad that people are so mean. geeze..
looks like people are suggesting tape, which you could try, but it might be uncomfortable..
try to ignore the laughers, or better yet, stick your tongue out at them.. do something to let them know that their laughing doesn't bother you.. you are an awesome person and a great swimmer and i certainly wish you the best!

I think it's still possible to get competitive swimsuits with padding...and you can always cross your hands over your chest area to keep warm...

It's just a natural reaction, it happens to guys too.
Just wrap up in a towel.
The guys are attracted to it just as you would be to a guy in a Speedo with a big lump in front. It's part of being human to be curious.

Heat the Pool and wear a turtle neck. Pam had the same problem on the set.

some swimmers tape themselves. i've heard of that being done a LOT. i've never been a swimmer, but i knew a girl in school that did it. i'm not sure what sort of tape you would use...mayb try asking your swim coach, i'm sure he/she would know what kind of tape. if its a man you dont necessarily have to tell him what its for...just ask him what kind of tape that swimmers use.
