I haven't gotten my period for a month and a half now. I stopped taking birth control pills about 2 months ago. I don't have any signs of being pregnant. Is my period just late because my body is regulating itself after I stopped the pill, or is it possible I'm pregnant even though I don't have sore breasts, morning sickness or any other pregnancy symptoms?

Specifically, how badly does it hurt beforehand and for how long? What are the warning signs? I've had one for awhile, and it's been bothering me a ton. Do you think I could go to the ER, and do you think they would remove it before it burst? I don't want to go if they won't do it then and there. All personal account details please, it would help.

I was diagnosed with polycystic ovaries, and after a year, the cysts have not gone away. My gynecologist said that if the cysts still do not go away by the time of my next visit (six months), we should seriously consider laparoscopy.
I'm confused about an ovarian laparoscopy. The way it was explained to me, I think my doctor just wanted to look. I read online that laparoscopy is used just to see. However, I have also read that if an abnormality is seen, such as a cyst, the doctor will drain them. Also, is this what is called "ovarian drilling"? I heard that if I develop scar tissue, I will not be able to get pregnant. What are the chances that I will be scarred? Lastly, would this be for both ovaries?
Thank you.

My neighbor lady is worried. She's in her late 50's and has had a hystorectomy back in 75.

She isn't sexually active, but she's been haveing this bad vaginal discharge. She say's it's not itching, or smelly. She say's it's whitish/yellow, and she's having to douche 2 or more times a day.

Do any of you have any idea what it may be? I explained to her about yeast, but she's pretty sure it's not yeast.

So anyone know??

I think I may have a hernia, is it possible for this to heal on it's own. I thought it was an ovarian cyst because of how intense the pain was, and I don't have insurance so I was hesitant to do anything about it. I went to the ER and they ruled out anything critical and the ultrasound showed my ovaries were in good shape. They said the area that I said the pain was in is in my intestines. So either a hernia or endemetiosis (sp?). I'm just wondering if anyones had either of these.

We know seeing super-thin models can play a role in causing anorexia," says Nada Stotland, professor of psychiatry at Rush Medical College in Chicago and vice president of the American Psychiatric Association. Because many models and actresses are so thin, it makes anorexics think their emaciated bodies are normal, she says. "But these people look scary. They don't look normal."
