Women's Health - August 2006

I have times where I get extremely sad and upset. Sometimes it coincides with my cycle, sometimes it doesn't. I'm currently taking Loestrin birth control.
My boyfriend and I are currently in a long distance relationship. This hasn't helped these mood swings. Sometimes I get so upset he can't even talk to me and that only makes me feel worse. After the fact I realize what's going on, but during it I can't make the bad feelings go away. I feel like it's tearing me apart.
How do I know if this is just normal stress or if there's really something wrong. I'm afraid to go to a doctor because I don't want to just be put on meds without them thoroughly trying to find out what's wrong.

I need to take the morning after pill after a slip up tonight! I live an hour away from a chemist and havent a spare moment to go into town tommorow. Is it the normal pill taken in a large number?? Please can someone help me out IMPORTANT!

im having really bad trouble with this injection i had my third injection yesterday. i have now been on my period for 4 months i no that you can have prolonged periods but how long is prolonged i am getting really fed up of this and it is getting me down does any body else have this injection how long after your first injection did your periods stop. Is any body else having the same problem as me?

this is a serious question - i have heard what to do for dryness but no one ever says anything about wetness. with out getting volgur, it can get realy bad - having to stop and dry off? that shouldn't be right. it is rather embarassing though my husband says it is no problem. what can i do?

Why is it that most guys care about the size of their gf?! Recently my best friend was dumped because she was "fat" she only weighs 115 and is 16. so honestly guys why do you care so much if the girl is fun and loves to be around you and you have fun together why does it matter?!!!

Every month I have the same problem, I end up very very bloated and can put on upto a stone in weight. This is really depressing as my clothes don't fit and I feel fat. It also causes pain. I have tried water tablets to no avail, tried drinking more water this bloats me more. Been to the doctors over and over and end up being stuck on different contraception tablets. The bloating lasts for three weeks every month which is not a good confidence provider. It seems to have effected me more the older I have got as I don't remember having the same problem as a teen. Any help? Advice I could really do with.

I have suffered from PMT, have taken every pill known to man, had injections etc. etc. I was even prescribed a drug Bromocryptine, all to no avail. Now I can add the horrors of menopause as well. I find the worst is during the night when I cannot sleep for sweats and restless legs - its awful. I would be over the moon to get advice from someone who suffers these symptoms. Many thanks

It was horriable, took a bite of a cheese stick, serving pizza to my family, got an intense burning from my throat to the middle of my chest. My jaws were hurting both sides, my ears were burning, had discomfort in my chest & felt sick to my stomach, Lost my appetite. Layed down, took my tenormin (for heart flutters), a rolaid & 1/2 zanax. Felt better w/ in a half hour or so, but my jaws & ears were still in distress. Went to the Drs. the next day, felt whiped out, missed work & still had discomfort in my chest like I couldn't relax my chest, like a little burning. Dr. thinks it was an Acid Reflux attack. I didn't let him take an EKG. Didn't want to know those results. Has this happend to anyone before? Dr. gave me Prevacid & helps a lot! Also, felt a pinching in right had between my thumb & first finger.
