Last night, I couldn't get to sleep, so I took 1 tylenol PM. It didn't work. My legs felt shaky, etc. but I couldn't fall asleep. I took the pill at 12, qnd didn't fall asleep til 4:30. I have mild anxiety and take 25mg of Trazadone, a sedative antidepressant. The whole time I tried to fall asleep, but kept thinking abt other things. I finally fell asleep at 4:30 and woke up at 8:30. I am kinda tired today, but am worried abt tonight.I don't know what to do? Should I exercisem, what shlould I not eat?

I'm an otherwise healthy adult male in my 20s (I know I don't have diabetes, prostate problems, etc.) but still occasionally wet my bed at night. When I was a child and teen I went to many docs for this, never really got much help... the most I was ever told was that my bladder was probably small for my age (gee, thanks!) and my body was just slow to develop and I'd "grow out of it", which obviously didn't totally happen... so I'm thinking about going back in to see if there's anything that can be done now that wasn't before, and I'll soon have the health insurance to make this a reasonable thing to do.

My question is, what kind of specialist to see? Is it more likely a bladder problem, or a sleep problem? I think it could still be my bladder because I still have to go most every night and also can't hold a lot during the day... but I also wonder if sleeping too hard could be the problem, since I normally do wake up most nights when I need to go (just not always). Any thoughts?

I need to know if it is possible to have muscle spasms at the site of the amputation that could cause pain?

The reason that I am asking in the health section rather the animal section, is to find out by a human.

Our dog had his leg removed at the shoulder two yrs ago, front, and occasionally he will yelp in pain, and we have to rub the area that was amputated. We didn't know if it was a spasms or the bone or something else.
It happens when he gets excited and jumps around. Maybe twice a month.

I'm 13 and I am really jumpy, i could be walking across the landing and see my mum coming up the stairs and i'll scream:S i don't know why. It's pretty bad, if i'm in my house and someone in my family starts talking to me and I don't know they're there, I won't think ' oh I didn't see you there'....i'll scream. I don't know how to explain but i never used to be like this. why am i so jumpy ??
i watch horror films could that be something to do with it?

Or does anyone know anyone who has? What kinds of things do they do to check you out, and what kinds of treatments do they offer? I'm a young adult guy, in good health, already know I don't have diabetes, prostate issues, etc... just never completely got rid of this problem growing up, I don't know if it's my bladder, my sleep pattern, or what. It's not every night (usually I wake up in time to make it to the bathroom) but it happens often enough to be really annoying!

I've been to the doc for this many times before, as a child and adolescent, but the last time was years ago and nothing they did really helped it to go away for good (obviously)... just wondering if anyone has actually gotten any real help from a doctor for this?

I know it's normal for a lot of people to wake up and have to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night... but a lot of times I don't wake up until I really HAVE to go, to the point where my bladder is stretched to the absolute limit and a few drops (or rarely, more) are starting to leak out. What's really frustrating about that, though, is that my body often gets a huge adrenaline surge when this happens (probably because it's trying really hard to make me wake up before i wet the bed!) and then after i hit the bathroom i'm WIDE awake, and sometimes can't get back to sleep for an hour or more!

I'm only in my 20s and in good health... i know i don't have diabetes or prostate issues or anything... just a bladder that's never been able to make it through the night! Any ideas on how i can at least get a better night's sleep?

(and yes, i already know not to drink too many fluids before bed... this can happen even if i don't drink anything at all after 6 pm!)
