At work ,many employees have now enrolled in an HSA program.
With part of the idea of the HSA and a higher deductible health plan being we should be better / smarter consumers and since rates charged by physicians for similar services can vary dramatacly. How can I find doctors, lets say to get a physical and blood work, that charge a more reasonable rate. Is there a website or databse available?

My husband and I have both had a very very difficult time sleeping over the course of the last few months since we've moved, and we're both constantly tired. I've been taking tylenol pm long-term, and the dosage just isn't helping anymore.

Do I just flat-out tell my doctor I want to try Ambien or another prescription sleep aid for a while, or will he or she only offer it after lots of tests and stuff are done?

This might be a weird question. The reason I'm asking is because my wife seems to have an unusually low tolerance for pain or discomfort. It seems like the slightest little thing is too much for her to bear.

For example, if I bump my shin on the coffee table, I might yell and then rub it for a few minutes. But if she bumps her shin, she cries and then she's completely incapacitated for a long time.

It seems like any little ache or pain makes her unable to move. It's difficult for me to always be sympathetic because I never know how much pain she's really in.

It seems like there's always something wrong. One day it's her head, the next day it's her stomach, the next day it's her shoulders.. it seems to never end..

the other day she wasn't feeling well (like always) so she went to sleep on the couch without doing anything to take care of the baby.. I took care of all his needs, but I thought it seemed a little odd that she would just lie down and leave him like that..

Wet hair is not the culprit, running into a germ is the culprit, right? So I would be no more likely to "catch my death" in January snow naked with wet hair then I would shaking hands with a person with the flu.

My grandfather is in the hospital, he just had his hip replaced and is in great pain. They were going to take him down for xrays, they sent a man and woman in to take him down to radiology. My grandfather started to explain very calmly and politely that he was in pain, and that they needed to move him VERY slowly, and the guy EXPLODED that he has been doing his job for years, no one was going to tell him how to do his job, etc The woman told him to leave the room. She also had an attitude, but calmed down when me, my mom and grandfather told her to be more patient. Its bad enough to be in a hosptal in pain without a--holes like this. If you work in a hospital, dont you know that people are in pain, or otherwise not at their best? This is not the first time something like this has happened. The nurses made a mistake with his pain meds and argued when questioned about it.
