Smoking anything isn't the healthiest way to take a drug. But if you use a vaporizer, which slowly heats the herb then you inhale the steam, it's a lot healthier because you're not breathing all the tars, ash and other crap. So far, its been medically proven that there have never been any deaths directly related to weed. It's almost impossible to overdose because you would have to smoke something like a pound in a day. It's mildly addictive, but it isn't physically addictive like Heroin or even cigarettes, so the cravings go away after a day or two. It doesn't lower your IQ because I've been smoking for 10 years, I was valedictorian of my class and I'm still able to read and learn new things all the time. This gateway drug stuff is a load of crap. Using this logic, I could say that candy is a gateway drug because kids eat lots of candy, then they grow up and start drinking and trying drugs. Oh no! Ban the Twizzlers and chocolate bars.

You run the same risks smoking weed as you do smoking tobacco, some studies say even more. Plus you CAN, regardless of what your stoner buddies say, become addicted to it. Also it is what's called a gateway drug and does lead to the use of harder drugs which have much worse consequences for using them. I work as a substance abuse therapist and have seen plenty of people addicted to pot.

this is what I found...............
Some studies have linked marijuana use to a variety of medical problems, including schizophrenia, head and neck cancer and lung cancer, but the research isn't conclusive.
sounds like to me they don't know about like most everything else....one day something is bad for you and the next day it's the GREAT CURE for whatever!
