You don't say how old your daughter is, but here is some general advice. Our intestinal system requires fiber and water to operate properly. "White" food will often make our bowels move sluggishly. White bread, white rice, white pasta, bananas, applesauce, etc. are all things recommended to eat when you have diarrhea, so if you eat a lot of these "binding" things with not enough water you may end up with constipation. I suggest that your daughter drink plenty of water and eat some foods high in fiber such as prunes, raisins, oatmeal, apples, carrots, and kidney beans. Also, get her up off the toilet and go get some exercise. Put on some good music and dance together, march around the house, take a walk in the yard. Water, fiber, and exercise are all things that should help her. Stay away from medication if at all possible. Drinking olive oil sounds absolutely disgusting, I can imagine that she would have thrown that up.

Give her glass of tepid water(room temperature) with a 1/2 a lemon squeeze, if that doesn't help, go to the drug store and get Glycerin Suppositories for children ( its good to have on hand anyway) that will help, put a bit of Vaseline on it to slip it more easily into her bum. Remove the foil carefully as they can be soft. Wait a while to let it dissolve in her colon and that should help too. You can also try Castor Oil ( which she will throw up for sure or Mineral Oil and put it into Apple Sauce,as it is tasteless.

Constipation can be dangerous. You left out way to much info. How old is she? How long has it been since she has had a bowel movement? If she is in pain I would call my doctor.

How old is she? If she's old enough to have caffinated beverages, that may be a good way to go. Give her a soda, or, a small cup of ice coffee (even better).......... & she will go in no time ! If she's too young for those, though, have you tried Pepto Bismal ?

A good old fashioned glycerin suppository should do the trick, if you can get her to hold it in long enough. They make them in a smaller size for children.

It depends on her age.. but you could give her Milk of Magnesia and see if that gets things going. Dose it accordingly to the age restrictions on the bottle.
