I watch it all the time. It's a riveting series and it's all I ever think about. I stay up until late hours of the night, sleepless. I never eat anymore, I never feel hungry! I can't even concentrate during the day. I'm tired in the morning from staying up so late, but I can't help it! Please will some one help me?

My uncle lives in Tennessee. He is having pretty sever psychiatric problems, including paranoia. He is a double amputee (legs) and lives alone.

He also has been crash dieting, and most likely his chemicals are all askew.

The problem is....that when he does go to see a doctor....he "snows" them by makin' them think he is just fine....then goes home and accuses everyone of being out to get him, stealing from him, etc. He really is "gone"....at times.

The family has gotten to the point that we are afraid to go around him. And, he really needs help....even with things like groceries. The basics of life.

We cannnot get authorities to listen to us. What do we do? He needs help or he is gonna get killed or kill someone. He has already crashed his car into an old lady and broken her hip, and says that he doesn't have any idea what happened.

If you can...please help!

I was recantly diagnosed with manic depressive disorder. And my psych put me on lemictal and lithium which has been working wonders. I have a question though are they considered anti depressants cause i know the doc told me they were mood stablizeres. The reason is i might start taking an herb, but one of the warning labels on it says to not take with anti depressants. So i need to know if the lemictal and lithium are considered anti depressants

How can you tell that someone really has a drinking problem? What is the best way to help someone who has a problem, assuming that he/she recognizes that it is a problem but fluctuates in the extent that he/she views its severity? Is it possible for an alcoholic to drink occasionally or must the person quit drinking completely in order to recover?

Lately I've had a very hard time realizing what's going on. I'll be in class and get completely confused because it almost feels like i'm watching class from underwater. I've been hearing voices calling my name for the past two days, althought it's not the first time i've heard voices calling me. I've been diagnosed with OCD and Depression, I have crying spells almost every night, and occasionally, with friends, I will have laughing fits. I'm leading myself to believe I'm going insane, but I'm not planning on telling my therapist because I'm afraid she won't believe me, and I'll be humiliated. Does anyone know what this could be, and what should I do?

And yes, I have a family history of mental health problems.

and DON'T call me psycho!

My gf is a tricky one. I don't want to change her, but I want to know what could be going on w/ her so I can offer the best support I can, and she's really locked up about something. We talk about stuff like this and inevitably, she just almost freezes. We have made it a little further into discussions over time, which is why I want to keep this up. My question is, what sorts of things, irrationally strong emotions, tendencies, and (big one for me) relationship patterns might one taking berevemant especially hard experience/display? She lost her father several years ago (car acc.) as young girl.

I was wondering... am I the only nutcase out there who has bad dreams everynight? You all are gonna think I'm totally wacked out but I have dreams everynight about bugs crawling up my walls and I have to get up and I sware at them and chase them w/tissues trying to catch them. I stuff blankets between my bed and wall when I am asleep cuz I think they are gonna come up and crawl on me. I used to call my moms house everynight telling her there was some1 in my hallway. Get ready.....I also called her 1 time in the middle of the night and told her I saw "Santa Clause" looking in my bedroom window! The funniest part is, My room is on the 2nd floor! ha! I guess it's passed down from my dad he's the same way. Now so is my 13yr old son. Well, I'd like to hear some of ur crazy, scarey, funny whatever dreams to let me know I'm not the only crazy 1. (I'm 36 if it matters)

I was diagnosed with depression(aswell as post traumatic) about 2years ago, I was on anti depressants. During this time I also got glandula fever and was hardly at school. Before I was diagnosed with Depression i had quite a large vocabulary. While I was suffering I just lost all concentration etc. Now i'm getting better and my moods havn't been so low but I feel so dumb now, like I don't know how to say what I mean. Last year I was in a car crash and I hit my head quite hard, I told the doctor and asked him if I should have a brain scan done because my memory wasn't as good as it use to be and he just said "No i don't think there is any need to do that"

I just want to know if people who have had depression, return to completly normal when their moods have improved?

Depression is a serious illness and yet so many people who have moments of low times, talk depression. The word is thrown around like confetti. It really annoys me.
Depression is not something that comes and goes, you have to work at keeping things together, every day of you life.
Almost like an alcaholic, you have to take each day as it comes. You may feel up today and plan to go out tomorrow, but by tomorrow, you may be low again.
So please folks, stop using the word, unless you really are a sufferer.

Okay heres the thing, my daughter is almost 4, her dr. diagnosed her when she turned 3 as Adhd, well they put her on medication for it and she got better, well then it was making problems within the family, so we took her off of it. well the dr referred us to a specialist, well she started saying she was austistic( and she shows no sign except she is very hyper and she has little to no attention span) so i discontinued her going there and just quit everything, well now she is attending Head Start and the school has requested us to take her back and get her started back on medication. well my husband now thinks she does have adhd now and so do i but i am scared to go through this again. Does anyone else have a 3-4 year with the same problem. I need some advice on what i should do. Please help me to understand all of this. This is my first child and i don't like her to go through this.

So I have been suffering from an eating disorder for some time now. Just when I finally get out of denial and I am wanting to get help. I can't find any!! I am so frustrated I have tried multiple sites. It makes me just want to continue and deal with my eating disorder by myself. I am looking for a counselor in Kansas or possibly on the Missouri side. If anyone knows of any good ones or places to go and get outpatient therapy its greatly appreciated.

Thanks.
