think of a place, a situation or people that make you happy. Don't worry what others think. Live for yourself not for others. So many people live their lives based on what others tell them. Like what to eat, how to dress, what to watch, where to go, how to think, how to feel, how to eat, what you should do with yourself.
You are your best psychiatrist. Don't let others decide who you are.
Another way to deal with this is do things that make you feel good, feel happy. Think only good things. If that means going to a park and staring at the squirrels, so be it. Also, listen to your favorite music.
What is causing your anxiety and/or depression? Can these causes be corrected? If yes, then only correct one thing at a time. If you try to do it all at once you will feel overwhelmed and will just sink deeper.
Good Luck.

I have an anxiety disorder myself. I get really panicked when I feel my anxiety come on. It usually happens when I lay down to sleep so I will either get back up and get on the computer or watch some TV to occupy my mind so I could go to sleep. You just have to try really hard to think about really good things and focus on them. That's take alot of will power but you can do it. If you just cant seem to catch it before it comes on too much then just focus on your breathing and keep it calm and cool and it will seem to not be so bad and go away faster. I know these are hard moments but you can make it through. I wish you lots of luck!!!

Listen for what they call rapid automatic thoughts just below the surface of your conscience thinking, then, correct whatever is illogical about them regularly. Replace them with true thoughts that produce better feelings due to their better validity. Feelings are caused by thoughts, not the other way around

Try these simple steps. Congratulations you've done step one! Read this: Think positive. Control your thoughts and only let the positive come in. When you're done, breathe. Concentrate on inhaling and exhaling. you should be closing your eyes when you do this in a really quite environment. hold that for about 2-3mins. open your eyes. think positive you can do this now because you feel alot better!

Oh yeah, that's right. Like I sarcastically said to my Dad one time, "Yep. Mental illness is all a state of mind that can be cured with simple "WILL POWER"
