1. I take lots of Benadryl.
2. I set an alarm (why is the expression "the alarm goes OFF"? It comes ON in the morning, doesn't it?)
3. I have trouble waking up all the time. I just get up first, THEN wake up. I don't make any major assessments about life or the universe until at least an hour after I get up - because life ALWAYS sucks right after I get up.
4. I don't dream much. When I do dream, my dreams are always bizarre. So I'd rather not dream. I do like flying dreams, though. Sometimes I have a dream that I can float. I just push off with my feet and I float up and then come down like a feather. I wish I could do that for real, like Criss Angel (although he is a fake, he doesn't really float).

1) If I left myself to nature I would only sleep about every third day, then I would sleep about 20 hours. That is incompatible with most life on earth, so I take a benadryl at bedtime. That makes me sleep about 4 hours. I usually wake in 4 hours. If, for life compatibility reasons, I need to sleep longer, I take another benadryl and sleep another 4.
2) I wake up naturally, usually about every 40 minutes all night long. By about 7AM in the morning I'm so exhausted I long to stay in bed and sleep another 12. If I don't have to go to work I stay in bed and sleep another 4 or 5. These morning sleep hours are the only ones that make me feel rested and help my body stop hurting.
3) If I'm having trouble waking up, I roll out of the bed and pour coffee down my throat until I am almost human.
4) I like it when my dreams are magical and prophetic, but usually they are about reliving traumatic events in my life. I have flying dreams and floating dreams like Jack too. Those aren't always good, though. Often I'm trying to get away from something evil and I'm straining to get off the ground or prove something to someone by flying.

1. I just jump into bed and in less than 15 minutes I'm sound asleep. Obviously that doesn't work for you, so try reading yourself to sleep. Meditation can also help to relax your mind.
2. Alarm clock (cell phone)
3. I'm attuned to the alarm sounds, so I don't have any trouble waking up. You could try sleeping earlier so your body gets a more "complete" sleep and doesn't resist getting up as much.
4. I like to dream about strange places.

1. I take Ambien.
2. I get up naturally, without an alarm clock, usually at 7:30. That's apparently when the Ambien wears off.
3. No, not really. My trouble is getting to sleep.
4. I like just about anything where I'm NOT back in college and have misplaced my course schedule.

Here I go...
1. A warm glass of milk OR any boring reading material OR sex but this usually makes me sleep longer. Light and easy music will do too. No televisions.
2. I have 3 alarm clocks set 5-10 mins away from each other.
3. Like I said... 3 alarm clocks, set 5-10 mins away from each other. And once I've opened my eyes, I give my body a good stretch before sitting up.
4. home.

1) meditate (listening to music, clearing your mind, breathing exercises).
2) an alarm clock, but if you keep up a routine, you'll wake up before the alarm clock will go off.
3) I used to but that was because of the time I actually fell asleep. You can go to bed at 10pm but toss and turn from thoughts in your head till about 11pm and then fall asleep.
4) i like to dream about sex.
