I've alway had little or no luck in life, My friends notice it, My family notice it, Only thing I have going for me is a beautiful a child, Its been said more than once If I didn't have bad luck i'd have none. I changed doctors recently and went for my first appointment, she looked over my file and said "You've not had a lot of luck" I asked why, "Well for a young man your age you've had quite alot of problems" I kid you not thats what she said. I.E asthma, Hole in my heart, Anxiety, Depression the list goes on.

I've heard people say I am negative, but thats why as everything that can go wrong does, Sure I've tried to be positive but I don't get to far to something goes wrong again.

On the other side of the coin, I entered a raffle recently, I live in a poor area but who happened to win the raffle?? The richest man who entered it, the local bank manager, You get what I'm getting at.

Even more worrying its rubbing of on my other half.

Is it possible to change your luck?

I've caught her on many occasions biting her fingernails and eating them, also picking her nose and eating her bugers. Is this normal? I can't imagine it would be all to healthy for her either.

I had sleep issues for about 18 months but that ended about 6-9 months ago. Why do I still feel exhausted and lethargic every day no matter how much sleep I get the night before? I've tried sleeping more, sleeping less, sleeping with it cold, sleeping with it hot, etc and nothing makes a difference.... How long does the "sleep debt" last if that is even true? Thanks!

I am working in a new hospital which is being set up. I need to know if one requires a policy for each standard operating procedure. Does a policy not cover a summary of how the management practises or laws which they adhere to at the hospital? Please advice.

My doctor refused to give me a complete physical examination. I asked about having it regularly, every three years or so, as is recommended for people my age, and she wondered why I was so worried about my health. She told me that if everyone was like me, they’d constantly be doing physical examinations. She also mentioned what vast amounts of money would be spent just for these physicals. She also said that they do not practice giving complete physicals just for preventive reasons. She said that I don’t need a physical examination unless at a time when I turn 50 years of age (which would mean my next physical will be in 27 years), or when I’m signing up for college, when I’m recruited, etc. What she did say, is to come to her regularly so that she would measure my blood pressure, listen to my lungs, and have my blood tested. Should I be looking for another doctor, or perhaps move my insurance elsewhere (in whatever degree this is possible in our health "care" system in Croatia)?

When i walk, either just short walk or long work. i can hear my knee make sounds like little cracking cracking between the caps and the joints. Crack here crack there, and when i bend my knee esp sit down on chair, i cant sit too long. my knees will feel sore (not sick, just sore like tired feeling after long walk in fact i only sit)

i am at beginning 30, with weight 60Kg and 155 height. am i too fat? so my knees can not support me? i can still do treadmills and walk for 15mins. only the cracking sounds bother me, only me can hear it because i can feel i cracks sound.

I hate this. I'll be tired and then go to lay down and can't fall asleep. It drives me nutz. Even with the time changing I thought I'd be more tired, but I'm not. I usually take Tylenol PM - not on a daily basis and it does help. I'd like to be asleep around 10PM. I love the mornings, but not when I can't get sleep. Ugh.

several weeks ago when i first started taking paxil for really bad panic attacks i experienced just once something really strange; for 5 minutes my body starting from the pit of my stomach everywhere in my veins i felt a very hot feeling, and icy but hot feeling. it scared the crap out of me so i asked for help and they felt my hands and they were cold. I don't need medical help or advice because it's long gone but i'm just wondering what it could have been.

My mother and her father (my grandfather) have both described their head as feeling funny (strange) - not dizzy, or vertigo. Several years ago (when I was about 40 years old) I began experiencing it too. I described to my mother as the sinking sensation felt in the stomach when riding a roller coaster going over the hills - only, instead of in the stomach, it was in the head, the brain. My mom agreed that was a good description of her sensation as well. It is not pain or disorientation but mine seems to start around each ear and move inward where they meet and pulsate out the front of the head (forehead area). It can be just one-then stop, or it can come in wave after wave and at varying levels of intensity. One episode rendered me incapacitated as strong wave after wave continued for several minutes, maybe 10 or more, without stopping. Dr.'s find no inner ear problems. Could it be chemical imbalance in brain? or what? please help. Thanks.
