I've caught her on many occasions biting her fingernails and eating them, also picking her nose and eating her bugers. Is this normal? I can't imagine it would be all to healthy for her either.

Did she ever see you see her do this? Maybe in some weird way she enjoys it. I don't think it would be harmful or un-healthy for her. Kids do it all the time. Personally I wouldn't do this, I find it utterly disgusting, but hey...everyone has their own little things they do.

It's disgusting, but little kids eat their bugers all the time with apparently no adverse effects. Fingernails I'm not so sure about, but I do know that our dogs eat our fingernails and toenails and they have no problems with it. Not sure that applies to humans or not.

This is gross but there was a study done about bugger eating. Apparently, when young children eat them it actually strengthens their immune system. The theory being that contained within the bugger there is desiccated bodies of bacteria and viruses and when introduced this way the body can start to make antibodies in case it should ever be attacked by one of these. Now saying all that, its still gross but I doubt its too unhealthy for her.

Its not healthy at all. I bite my fingernails out of habit and I also find that I bite them when I am nervous. I do not eat them though, nor do I eat my boogers thats just sick.

when i was little i ate my buggers!!! keep that on the down low =)
anyways i guess some people do stuff like that maybe weird but that's just who she is personality wise?
alot of people bit their fingernails and eat them I see people do that quit a bit but anyways the bugger thing is still weird to me =)

that's just plain nasty. i would say she has very poor manners. however, i would not rule out mental issues.
