I am fairly young (36) but have had a series of health issues. Whenever I go to the doctor they typically want to handle them one at a time and frankly I am growing tired of being poked and proded with little results. Here is the story

I'd appreciate serious answers (as I am sure there are smart alex out there with things to say).

1. At 36 I have prostate issues that cause me to wet my underwear fairly regularly. Not the best thing to happen when at work. Doctors and Urologists seem to be helpless here.

2. I wake up 2 - 5 times a night cause I either have to go pee or take care of my daughter. This leave me too tired to stand often.

3. I have headaches 4 times a week in the mornings again doctors aren't helping.

4. I am getting depressed, I think part of it has to do with health concerns and part of it from lack of sleep.

5. I have a stomach ulcer and indigestion.

I am frustrated with the medical system and don't know how to approach the problem anymore.

You might find this a funny question but I would really like a sensible answer

I watch TV and I like a program call "" HOUSE""
Its about a doctor in a hospital who works with a team .
The patient is always in a room on his/her own which is OK I suppose , I have had a private room myself on the NH.
By the way , I am English so what i know about American medicine is gleaned mostly from TV tho I do know that in America you have to pay up front .
the thing is in this program there are always friends and relatives in the room with them , visiting , all the time and these people seem to have the right to question the doc on every point of the treatment their friend is getting and the doc seems to expect to have to explain it .
A patient is having a heart attack or a stroke or vomiting explosively and the doc and/or the nurses have to wade through concerned friends to get to the patient .
I know this would not be allowed in a British hospital so I was wondering ,is it really like

im 14, and cant seem to sleep. i dont drink coffee or eat sugary foods and dont listen to music or watch television right before bed. i try to read or settle down with a hot water bottle.
but i still cant sleep. it takes me about two hours to feel like im dropping off but when i fall asleep i am usually woken up several times by tiny sounds. i cant get up in the mornings and look pale and feel tired during the day.
i do loads of exercise, eat healthy, im not overweight, dont overstimulate my brain. could it be anxiety keeping me awake or is this insomnia?
some nights i dont think i sleep at all and seem to be awake to hear the alarm go off. and some days i fall asleep and then i have to wake up staright away
GOING MENTALLL SOOO EXHAUSTED BUT SO AWAKE

I have the BlueShield of California HMO through my employer, and I am wondering how do I go about seeing a dermatologist? Do I ask my physician to refer me to one or do I talk to the HMO directly? How much would it cost, on average?

My Friend was in the hospital for 2 months & we (his loved ones) have witnessed some tremendous neglect & irresponsibility on the parts of the hospital staff, which we are following up on. I was wondering, however, about the specific responsiblities of the PCA (Patient Care Assistant, sometimes called Patient Care Technician). Are there universally recognized standards that describe the duties of the PCA, or does it vary from hospital to hospital? My Friend's niece is a nurse, and said that when she was a PCA, she had to bathe & otherwise tend the hygeine of patients who were unable to do so for themselves. I've seen nothing of this during my Friend's entire hospital stay!

I've already taken Vicks Dayquil. Taking that got rid of my stuffy nose, but now my head feels like it's full of air...what do I do other than just wait it out?

My ear also needs to pop...Does anyone have any advice on how to fix that? (I've already tried applying increasing pressure by driving up a mountain, but that didn't work..)

Thanks for any help!
