I think you should let your boyfriend search for and choose his own health insurance. Women often make the mistake of doing too many things for their mates and they end up being the givers in the relationship and miss having things done for them. Unless he's helpless, (and if he is, what are you doing with him?) let him do things for himself.

If you are in the USA, do a web search on Blue Cross/Blue Shield. Each state has a different name that goes before of, like where I live, it's Carefirst BC/BS. They have all kinds of plans and deductibles and I think they have an open season pretty much all the time. Good luck. You are kind and thoughtful to look into this for him.

it is sooooo important to have health care benefits especially benefits that have great coverage. i am extremely lucky that my wife and i can cover meds, therapy, massages, time off with pay, dental, u name it. there was a time when my wife saw anything i offered to her as a putdown, that she could make it on her own - and that was a hard pill to swallow for me but eventually she let down her guard and let me in. i think it was when she had her wisdom teeth pulled and she let me pull and replace the bloody gauze from her mouth while she was on heavy medication and telling me that i suck as a lover. when she recovered she just gave me one of those smiles and i knew she was back in the saddle. i love her soooooooooooo much but unfortunately, see left on a trip to cuba that i paid for and she fell in lust with this 21 year old cuban dude who's father is a multimillionare so i never saw her again. lol.
