im 14, and cant seem to sleep. i dont drink coffee or eat sugary foods and dont listen to music or watch television right before bed. i try to read or settle down with a hot water bottle.
but i still cant sleep. it takes me about two hours to feel like im dropping off but when i fall asleep i am usually woken up several times by tiny sounds. i cant get up in the mornings and look pale and feel tired during the day.
i do loads of exercise, eat healthy, im not overweight, dont overstimulate my brain. could it be anxiety keeping me awake or is this insomnia?
some nights i dont think i sleep at all and seem to be awake to hear the alarm go off. and some days i fall asleep and then i have to wake up staright away

Yes it could be anxiety. Are you playing video games before bed? that use to keep my boys up.

Tips to help you sleep

Avoid or limit your use of caffeine (coffee, tea, sodas, chocolate), decongestants, alcohol and tobacco.

Exercise more often, but don't exercise within a few hours before going to bed.

Try taking a warm bath or shower be for going to bed

Don't lie in bed worrying about things. Set aside another time just for worrying. For example, spend 30 minutes after dinner writing down what's worrying you and what you can do about it.

Try eating a light snack before going to bed, but don't eat too much right before bedtime. A glass of warm milk or some cheese and crackers may be all you need.

Don't nap during the day if naps seem to make your insomnia worse.
I wish you will good luck
