I hate mornings but have to get up. Mind you, I don't like going to sleep either. I am scared I will miss something. Have I missed anything? I stay up as long as my eyes will stay open. I have an active brain or something on my mind. I wake up early every morning by force to the postman who comes too early and my dog's launch themselves at the letterbox with the usual woofing (beats any alarm) which continues until the postman is 10 doors away.

There is one snag with this routine...

Healthwise

No amount of anti wrinkle cream will work and it does catch up with you in the end and can make you feel unwell because sleep is for the body and mind to regenerate. You also need to sleep to dream. Dreaming is a very important part of sleeping wether you remember your dream or not. Drugs are not the answer which many people turn too. I wont give you lots of info on that because if you can't be bothered to go to sleep then it will give you something to do whilst your awake. I have added the link and if you scroll down to the section "SLEEP DISTINGUISHED FROM DRUG-INDUCED UNCONSCIOUSNES: " is a good place to start unless you want to read the entire article which is very good.

Another possible therapy for the insomniac

I have found that shopping in Tesco's (I have just got back from there 1.45am) is very theraputic if your looking for and alternative therapy. Just be careful of the tesco trolly dollies you have dodge down every isle as they stock the shelves. You soon realise you may of been tired when you get grouchy having to run 100 odd items through the self serve til. Thats enough to send anyone to sleep.

Grab a cup of hot chocolate, relax, unwind and if your brain is still ticking read a good book :-)

Last year I had to catch an early flight. I went to bed early but couldn't sleep so I just got up again.
