pop the radio on the 'chill' station and maybe have a game of chess or just have a glass of wine or just sit and be absorbed into the music.

I have a great way of relaxing though you may find it weird.
Lie on the floor and let all you body go loose and let it feel as if it is sinking into the ground.
Then without moving start at your feet and feel your toes in your mind then work your way up your body feeling each section to your head but remember not to move it is all done with your mind.
To help you imagine someone is touching you very gently with a piece of very fine silk. You will get a tingling sensation as your body starts to relax.
I sometimes get so relaxed that I fall asleep but when you wake you feel really relaxed and fresh.

I would let in a hot bath with some bath oil and such. Light some candles, play soft classical music. Turn off the phone, computer, TV and other distractions. If you have kids, it will be a different story. You may need to go for a nice walk then, looking around your neighborhood, breathing deep and thinking of something nice. If you keep a journal, sit down and list all the good things that have happened to you today.

Sex is always a good way of relaxing. No partner, remember you're the one person that knows exactly what you need.
Meditation is also a very good way to relax. Don't focus on your problems, go to your happy place.

Make lemonade from scratch - put an ice tray in the fridge to freeze, walk downstairs to the grocer and pick up a kilo of lemons and sugar, head back home and juice the lot slowly by hand. Focus on each juicing action and feel it trickle through your hands, take your time. Then sit back, watch the sun and enjoy your juice.
You might want to add the sugar though.
