What if, say hypothetically, one of those newfangled heat guns focused on a 3 inch surface of your brain long enough to burn it. What would happen to your brain. That part, I mean ;)

Hi,
First I wanted to thank people who replied last time I asked this- I am still stuck in the same place so thought why not ask again, see if anyone has any ideas at all!

Heres the problem:
I am 26, I have a history of anorexia and bulima though am at the moment (and have been for several months) a healthy weight. (Body mass index is 20)
I have been having night sweats for years now, I dont get them at a low weight (Body mass index of less than 17) but even though my weight is stable now, I still get them.

I am often too worked up to sleep now, I can stay up all night (and yes I do get very tierd) as I cant take waking up and being so wet- seriously were talking about wringing out clothes here or comming to do laundry two days later and still finding my bed clothes and sheets wet.
not damp. wet.

I get them every night. Each time is around 4 to 6 am. I donot take any pills -aside from seroxat first thing in the morning at 8am. I go to the gym 3Xs a week 1+ hours a time.

OK so people say it's bad other say it doesn't hurt. My sleeping problems started when I had my old job. They'd make me stay till after midnight and i wouldn't get home till like 1am. Of course i didn't go right to bed. Sometimes i wouldn't go to bed at all! I decided to take something over the counter. I found this thing called SIMPLY SLEEP. I liked it, it's so mild no side effects at all that I noticed. I stated taking it every night though to sleep and I have been taking it for months even though I don't even work at that job anymore. Now if I skip it even one night I have a bad sleep and feel sick. I am probably addicted. I don't mind as long as it can't hurt me! I know people who take worse pills every single day! People in my family that have arthritis and they take tylonyol arthritis daily which is a very strong form of the drug! This is just the stuff like they put in dramamine (motion sickness meds). Am I really hurting myself if I keep taking it??

The other day after my calculus class, I stood up and streached. It was as usual, my vision went black and I got kinda dizzy, I guess from my blood rushing to my legs after their not being used in the past hour or so. But this time it lasted longer and kinda fell headfirst into the desk, just barely catching myself groping around in the dark reaching for something to break my fall. I was dizzier than usual and it felt like i was floating and could hardly control my body.

Is this something that I should be worried about?

The big toe on my left foot is seperating off the nail on the left-hand side of the nail. At first I thought it might be from my shoes but I stopped wearing them and it seams to still be getting worse. The skin where it is seperating is getting hard and a slimy substance is comming out from between the skin and toe as well it is all swollen. Sounds like an infection but I have not done anything that could have gotten my toe infected. Does anyone know what the problem could be?
Thanks, Brett

My boyfriend's lip has swollen to about four times it's normal size, and its causing him alot of pain, benedryl and ice seem to have no effect. It came on suddenly, with no warning. There is no rash, his lipp is just really huge, Does anyone have any idea how to bring down the swelling, and what causes it?

A few months ago, while walking up stairs, I stubeed my big toe very hard, and it hurt REALLY BADLY. It was hard to walk because it hurt, and I also suddenly felt sick. I thought that it might be fractured, but there wasn't anything to do about it. A few times, it hurt while running and there was a slight bump under it, but now it's fine. This morning, I stubbed my fourth toe on the leg of a chair, and it hurt so bad I had to sit down. It was, I think, excruciating. I felt like I was going to throw up and/or pass out, so I went downstairs (painfully) and drank some water and sat on the couch. The pain had dulled somewhat, but it still hurt, and I still felt nauseas. I think I might have fractured it, but that could just be me being a hypochondriac. This happened about 5 hours ago and it hardly hurts and I don't feel very sick either.

I don't have any idea why I feel sick after stubbing my toes. Does anyone know?

so ya i was hicking and i tripped and a huge rock hit my heel. as for the four step test. yes i could walk after being injured, in fact i hardly felt it. the next day i could not walk in the morning unless it was on my toes

its now been a week and a half and my heel hurts but yes i can walk and im in martial arts too so i just dont use it to hit the bag.

any pressure on the bruised area hurts. i cant even sit with my feet out becuase the floor touches the area.

i dont want to waste money on another doctor visit. so.... if it still hurts like this for how long? when should i go to the doc?

A couple of weeks ago I kicked a plastic box and lightly bruised my leg on the inside of my shin. Four or five days later there was a lot of pooling blood in the arch of my foot. A week after that I began feeling a large lumb on the area of impact. It still hurts when it is touched. Could I have broken it? If so, it is too late to do anything about it?

My husband has been known to sleep on his back with one or both of his arms straight up in the air, curious why he might do this, I guess he always has.

Over a period of time I was chocked by my husband and one day my throat got infected and I've had this problem before just from being sick, but I never got a neck abscess before this. Could this be the result of my husband choking me over a period of time that this happened. I wanted to know if he could have affected anything in my throat that could have made this happen.

Personally I would probably sacrifice a toe for like a million dollars, though not a big toe as it might interfere with my balance or whatever. Can't see myself going much further than that though. How about you?

BTW tonsils and appendix aren't allowed lol

I had a doctor who told me that our body accomodates to everything. Maybe I just need to work out till my lower back strengthens and keeps up with it. Maybe its sore cause its strenghtening? I never used to have that pain before tho, And I used to lift more weight than I do now. Or maybe I should take a break, if so like how long. Thanks
