Lemon water or lemon with honey is thought very soothing by many--I've also had good luck with orange juice: despite the slight sting in drinking, it eased the pain fairly considerably.

Do stay away from dairy products--if there's some mucus involved in this issue, the dairy will cause more to be produced.

He should take some Tylenol or Motrin, gargle with warm salt water (1 teaspoon of salt to a cup of warm water) and Chlorasepic spray or lozenges.

If there's fever or body aches, or if there's no improvement by Monday, he needs to see a doctor to make sure it's not strep. (Testing too soon can lead to a false negative and it's a hassle to go back to the doctor to be checked again.)

What about Tylenol sore throat? It is a liquid. You get it at any store and it works pretty good.

try some honey and lemon in hot water for a couple of days . if it persists see a doctor
