I slept on my arm funny a few days ago. This happens every so often due to the way I sleep but usually the discomfort goes away quickly. This time however I seemed to have pulled a muscle in my upper arm. It's been three days is it too late to ice? My instinct at this point is heat......

you can do both, but if you begin to notice inflammation (heat, swelling, pain, redness, etc) stop with the heat..it will only make it worse and stick with ice. 12-15 min per hour. if the pain doesn't get better soon or you are starting to have difficulty with work or other daily activities...speak with your doc and potentially if just a tendinitis or tight joint think about physical therapy! good luck!

It's not too late. Apply heat for 20 minutes and then ice for 20 minutes. Keep alternating for however long you'd like.

Do both. Put ice on it then heat then ice again then heat till it goes away!!!!! Your muscles are just tense and the ice then the heat helps it to relax and stop hurting!!!! I feel sorry for you!!!! I hate it when my muscles hurt, I'm just miserable when it happens to me!!!!
