A couple of weeks ago I kicked a plastic box and lightly bruised my leg on the inside of my shin. Four or five days later there was a lot of pooling blood in the arch of my foot. A week after that I began feeling a large lumb on the area of impact. It still hurts when it is touched. Could I have broken it? If so, it is too late to do anything about it?

If you haven't taken yourself to the doctor by now, then you better get yourself there ASAP.

Believe me, it's not broken but badly bruised. I'm a paraplegic and fell out of my chair a few years ago. The next morning my leg was swollen to 3 times its size. I ended up with a major break above the knee and had to have surgery. i'd go in and get an x-ray just to relieve your mind and check for blood clots.

ok well if you can walk its def NOT broken
i broke my leg playing soccer and it was horrible
my coach told me to walk it off, i got up, and my ankle touched my knee
err yeah not the most pleasant feeling in the world
also if it was broken you would have these signs withing a few hours
and sharp intense pain when moved, and constant ache in your whole leg, and most likely swollen all the way to your knee
you might have bruised your bone, most bruises are in muscle or skin, but in bone can cause similar side effects but usually sooner than that
i would go check it out if i were you, but really if you have to ask if its broken, its most likely not
but there is a slight possibility that you fractured it, but a very small one at that
but go check it out and i hope you feel better soon =]]

If you still walking on it, it aint broke, however, i hit my shin almost a year ago, and still have a swollen spot where I hit it. Its water, is what the doctor told me, it goes away when it feels like it, and in the mean time it is still sore at times
