Hi. For the past day I've been getting these stabbing, throbbing headaches. It feels like someone is stabbing a knife in my brain. The headaches come and go. They come about every hour and last for about a minute. They are always in the back right part of my head. These headaches even wake me up from sleep. I don't think they are cluster headaches because I have no eye pain. And I dont think it's a migraine either because I have no nausea and light doesn't seem to bother me too much. Sound bothers me a little.
I've been under A Lot of stress lately....could that be the cause or something else? What kind of headache am I having? I'm going to wait a day or two more to see if it will go away before going to a doctor.

For about 5 monthes now, I have been experiencing a lot of pain in my right leg in my upper thigh. It is constantly numb and tingling and quite often itches, when I itch it though, it is so strange, because I cannot really feel my leg. The numbness is there. Also, another strange thing is that my leg is constantly in pain in this area! Again, it is completely numb, accompanied by severe pain and itching! Even just to put light pressure on it, a sharp pain just shoots right through it! I am just curious if anyone has a clue as to what this could be or what may be causing these symptoms?! I have never experienced anything like this and it is getting worse each day! Thank you for any help you can give me!

I was walking from my car to my office when I slipped and hurt my back pretty badly. I took the afternoon off to go see my chiropractor and her response was that, when I slipped I twisted my back so that there are muscle pains everywhere. What do I do in this situation? Do I need to fill out forms?

Is it really true that lack of sleep is a contributing factor to weight gain ? How is this true ? I was thinking that being awake causes you to burn more calories then sleeping....So wouldn't that PREVENT weight gain ? I'm a little confused. Can I get some insight here ?

I began having shoulder pain late 2005, early 2006. Originally, I thought that I had slept on my shoulders wrong, but when the pain did not go away I sought help. I now believe working out on a punching bag triggered the pain. After having x-rays and a MRI done, I was diagnosed as having os acromiale in both shoulders. I have seen 2 orthopaedist, received several cortisone shots. The 1st said that the surgery was risky and that the odds of fixing the problem or damaging the shoulders more were 50/50. He advised against having the surgery. A 2nd orthopaedist advised that I have acromioplasty surgery. My right shoulder hurts more than the left. Apparently, my condition is worst in the right arm. He advised starting with the left, and then doing the right, because the space in the left shoulder is easier to reach (it's at the top / versus the middle), and less of a risk. The right shoulder would require pins. Does anyone have any knowledge or personal experience with os acromiale?

Sure, it may sound ridiculous and I know a doctor isn't going to answer and admit to it, but thought I'd ask anyways. Maybe SOMEBODY who knows something will answer. I know many many people who are hopelessly addicted to pain killers after being prescribed them by their doctor. Sure, some of these people may have already been hooked before, but many of them, had never even DONE drugs before, on a regular basis I mean, obviously almost everyone has done drugs at least once in their lives. It just seems to me that the MEDICAL COMMUNITY as a whole, is greatly responsible for the nationwide epidemic of opiate addiction....which soon causes many many other strains on society, not to mention the starting of a cycle that may affect a family for generations to come. When you then consider the strict guidelines on the prescribing of Suboxone, which is a near miracle drug in getting people OFF opiates, really makes you wonder why the govt. seems intent on keeping people ON them....?????????

The doctor told me to take a half to one whole tablet at night before bed to help me sleep, but I took half a tablet last night and it literally kept me up all night. Has this happened to anyone else? Is there something out there stronger that I can take?

the last 2 weeks I have had cronic back pain. the pain varies, sometimes it's my lower back most of the time it's my whole back. It's sharp pains that shoot through my back. Along with the pains in my back I have cramping in my stomach. Anything that I eat gives me this horriable cramping my stomach. All I can do is find a comfortable postion and wait for it to go away. which it never really goes away...I have been taking Tylone for my back pain, it only helps if I take high doses of it...about 1500 mmg at 1 time. Can anyone give me a clue as to what is going with me?

A month ago, I hit my head and got a concussion. I felt really bad for a week. Then it slowly started to go away. Four days ago, I started feeling sick, like I had felt with the concussion: Headache, light headed, nausa. The only thing that hasn't returned is my memory loss, I wasn't remembering things clearly back then but I'm not having a problem with that currently. Can a concussion return? I was good for about 2 to 2 1/2 weeks. Could this be something else? Should I have it checked out or wait? ANY knowledge anyone has would be great!

Can someone please help me out with this. I have been told by my Dr that my back is no good, after having so much pain in my legs & lower back I went to my doctor & was sent for ct scan & xray of my back. I was told it would have to be managed with pain releif but that isn't working. I am only 50 yrs old. I had to see a specialist for something else & I told this dr about my back & was asked who am I being followed up by & that is when I was given the name for a back specialist but I am unabl to read the first part of the word, the last part ends in something like eunatolagist. I can not understand the doctors writting. Hope someone can help out. I am in a lot of pain with my legs from the knees upwards also with th lower back pain

I love to run! I run on the treadmill about 4 times a week for about 30 mins ... can anyone tell me how to prevent backaches and the odd knee ache caused by running? I tend to get them quite often, more so because I'm on the taller side.
Thanks!
