I am currently just starting to have a herpes breakout and the bumps are already there. I didnt notice them until this morning. The doctor told me that taking valtrex as soon as you see the signs of an outbreak would stop you from getting one. Do you think it is too late to take the valtrex since I already have the bumps?

hi need to know something to calm my friends mind. about 4 years ago she had unprotected sex with this guy she just met after drinking heavily. he penetrated her unprotected and was in for about 10 mins then he put on a condom when he was ready to orgasm.well its been on her mind all this time but is terrified to go to dr's and hasn't slept with anyone since just in case. although im not an expert i told her that she would have some kind of symptoms after 4 years like weight loss or something she is pefectly healthy never gets colds and hasn't had a flu in 6 years and is on the chubby side. could anybody let me know. thanks

I only have 1 hour before i have to go... My girl best friend slept with a bloke an hr ago.. anal (really dont mean to be crude) with no contraception! we now both worried he might be carrying something. especially aids. i know that u can have an emergency shot to eliminate it in the first 3 hrs of contact. shall we go hospital and get this? shes had drink too (will this affect it?)

Circumstances have led me to believe that my ex-boyfriend (whom with I was sexually active) may be infected with HIV.
Obviously, I'm going to get tested, but I'm terrified of the results being positive.
Anyone ever been tested for HIV? What do they do, and how long does it take for the results to come in?

I have a bump on the outside lip of my vagina (on the inside). It has been there for a few days. It is slightly painful, but mostly because of its location (when I wipe after going to the restroom it irritates it a little, for instance). I have had one of these once before...probably about a year ago and it just went away by itself.

I am a little worried that this could somehow be some form of herpes. I have had unprotected sex once with my boyfriend (condom broke) and that was about 5 months ago. He has no symptoms of any disease.

Any ideas on what this is and what I should do about it?

i'am on antibiotics to treat it and am being told by my doctor that as long as he and i used condoms that he is safe...even oral sex, but some of the info online has been a little conflicting...can anyone help???? I don't want him to thinnk im a dirty *****......
