Sounds like a boil. It can be brought on by hormones or even diet. Try limiting sweets and take a lot of warm baths to keep the area clean. It should go away within a week. It might be something that will come back from time to time, then disappear. It happens because of hprmones in many women. When its diet, its usually related to someone who has been eating a high sugar diet or for someone with diabetes or insulin resistance.
If the lump does not go away after 10-14 days, see the GYN.

This bump is most likely a cyst. I would rule out genital herpes. Reason: When a person has an initial outbreak of genital herpes, it is outrageous. You will have numerous (even hundreds) of tiny open sores all over your vagina. They burn, and are extremely painful. However, don't use this description as a basis to evaluate your partner if he has it because after an initial outbreak, further outbreaks "taper off" so to speak and become less numerous and not near as apparent. sometimes they cannot even be seen with the naked eye. I would suggest you go to the doc, just to see what he has to say. I'm still thinking it's some kind of cyst, especially since you had something similar before and it went away on it's own. (Some cysts have to be surgically removed, some just disappear and reappear at later times.) Good Luck!

It could very well be herpes. Especially if you had one of these bumps in the same location as before. I would go to your gynecologist or a clinic and get tested. It would be best to go while the bump is still there. Since it's possible to carry the herpes virus and not infect someone, you should be careful until you find out for sure. It could also be absolutely nothing but you should get tested.

Well it is possible to be a carrier of herpes - which means you have no symptoms and aren't really infected (some kind of immunity I presume) but can still spread it...
It could also be some kind of zit or acne... I know it's strange but it's possible to get a zit in random places, I've even had one or two in that area before.
What you should do just to be on the safe side is get yourself tested. It really is the only way you'll feel better and know for certain.

Herpes usually is a bit more irritating than you mention. However not always. So it might be that. Herpes does go away on it's own. However your description of symptoms leads me to believe it could also be a slight bacterial infection as well. However diagnosis without examination is impossible in this case. I apologize I could not be of more help.
