People go to work with cold sores all the time. Never touch your face with your hands. Especially your mucus membranes like your eyes, nose and mouth. If you share a phone. bring some antibacterial wipes to clean the phone after you use it---just to be safe. But you should do that even when you have a cold. No one is going to "catch" your cold sores.

it depends where you work. if you work in a small office and people will be understanding i don't think it should be a problem. the only way to spread the virus is actually touching lips with them right?

Of course! Make sure that you take your medication with you weather it be cream or pill or both. Make sure you have your own cup for drinking and don't let anybody eat off or use the same utensils you are using. No different than if you have a cold, you do the same thing to keep from getting every body sick.

Sure why not. Lots of people get cold sores. Just wash your hands and don't touch the sore. Abrevia is great for healing them in record time.

I believe you should unless you work in food service. Just be care full of touching your mouth and wash hands more frequently.

wow, thats a tough situation. I would talk to your boss privately about it. It seems like you should be able to work as long as it doesnt spread without contact to others.
