Actually, Trichomonas is a protozoan parasite, NOT a bacteria. This may sound like nitpicking, but it's not. Different classes of anti-microbial drugs are used to treat bacterial infections and protozoan infections. There is some overlap for treatments, though.

Often, Flagyl (metronidazole) is used to treat trich. It is a common infection, and though it is sexually transmitted, for whatever reason it almost never causes any problems for men (aside from making them contagious and all).

Anyway, your doc is being pretty generous to allow sex during treatment, but frankly, I'd err on the side of caution. Trich can inflame your vagina and cervix, and sex (and general penetration) can irritate and aggravate the inflammation. Treatment isn't THAT long. Sure you can stand to abstain for at least a week till you are totally done with the medication?

As for oral sex on you, if you are still infected and not quite cured yet, do you *really* want your boyfriend's mouth to go there?

trichomonas vaginalis, is a bacterial infection, and well it can be contracted very easily and well a vagina is an excellent breading ground for a bacteria, and well essential all a bacteria needs to live is minimal medium and moisture, u can get it from borrowing a towel, or in a dormitory, and most bacterial infections are cleard up by antibiotics in about 2weeks, so just hold off until then and u should be good
