Could it be possible that detergen, soap, shampoo or even dust can cause skin to feel itchy, red and bumpy sometimes? What if I have used the same product for years and it has never cause those symptom? My housemate used to have chicken pox and after two weeks I got shingles. Was sent to seen neurologist and got better in two weeks. But a week after that, I have itchiness and redness of my skin which last from minutes to hours, on and off almost everyday. He prescribed me with antihistamine, it helps with the itchiness sometimes, but i still have the same itchiness and redness on an off. My neurologist consulted the hospital's dermatologist and through phone she said it could be an autoimmune disorder and will last for few months. Should I go and seek other specialist advise or just wait and see???

my son's hand got burned three months ago. Some parts of his hands are better now but there are two patches of skin that turned to keloid, is there any possible way for his hand to return to normal without any skin grafting. His only 2 years old, I don't want him to go through that pain again.

A small dent in my skin - about 3-4mm wide and about as deep as a sheet of paper - has appeared ony my face. It's just to the side of my nose imbetween my eyes. I have only recently noticed it, so it must only be within the last week or so that it has appeared.

It is not very deep at all, but it is noticeable. I do not get spots in this area, nor do i sunbathe/use sunbeds, so it is not an acne scar or skin cancer!!

My question is:

1. WHy has it appeared and what has caused it??

2. What can be done to level off the skin? I'm not being funny, but would a very light abrasive like extremely fine sand paper or a pummice stone help smooth off the skin and get rid of this dent/hole?

3. Or shall i leave it and will it eventually fill out??

Thanks!

My friend has a sore gum, and when she eats food parts of her mouth feel floury textured (with a visible thin white layer) and parts of her tongue are very sensitive.

Go to a health food store and ask for a natural CRYSTAL STICK deodrant (but not one called 'smelly no more') and wash the affected area twice a day and rub this crystal on them. It's 100% natural and made from salt so is healing, it also provides a protective layer to help dirt going into pores.

For people who HAVE to pick and squeeze, wash immediately after and apply the crystal, you'll be AMAZED how fast it works.

I don't work for the co. or sell anything, I just want to help others who have the problems I had! it heals any minor skin ailments and if you rub it under yours armpits whilst thy'r wet, you won't smell either! It's amazing. Try it!

Why do your hands get so dry if you wash them a lot? (Doctors, etc)

And also why do they get so dry in the winter? My hands are exteremely dry and I put lotion on them everyday and once a day I apply this heavy duty lotion stuff. But not matter what I do they are dry and itchy because of the cold weather and I wash my hands a lot. Why does this happen?

Dermatologists use liquid nitrogen to freeze skin problems (cancers) and charge an arm and a leg to do it. They store it in a thermos. Why not DIY.
( ps I don't need a lecture on the dangers, save that for your dermatologist.)
