My friend has a sore gum, and when she eats food parts of her mouth feel floury textured (with a visible thin white layer) and parts of her tongue are very sensitive.

Any idea what this is???

Oral thrush or leukoplakia. Either one will require being treated by the doctor. Thrush is a yeast infection of the mouth, and leukoplakia doesn't have a clear cut cause. Your friend needs to visit her doctor, and meantime, don't share any cups, straws, or anything else her mouth may come in contact with.
