i use burt's bees but it doesn't seem to do much

I would suggest that you ask your pharmacist, they would be able to recommend a good over the counter medicated cream.

You might want to see your doctor as well as they can give you steroid cream which will clear it up in no time.

Gold Bond Medicated Lotion **EXTRA** strength

It does wonders...I have the same problem & it works wonders. Also try Aquafor (sp?) or even vaseline will help. Nothing with fragrance in it as this will irritate the area more. Use lotion on your hands after everytime your hands come into contact withg water. It gets especially bad in the winter time, so slather lotion on as often as possible in the cold seasons.

Well you can try Vaseline and cotton gloves or socks. smear Vaseline all over the hand and then put the glove or socks over your hands at night. If they start to hurt again, apply some more through out the night. You should see results within two or three days. It might take a month to have your skin fully repaired.

St. Ives helps me, I have to wash my hands 100 times an hour between patiants at the hospital where I work is seems. Do you have this in the UK?

I like diprobase, available over the counter, or aloe vera jelly, if you can get hold of it.
