Try cleansing your face and following with a good astringent (often called toners). You may find a drying agent like calamine lotion helps, but it should be tested on a small area 24 hours before applying it to your whole face. You should also try not to stress about your upcoming event. Stress only makes it worse. There isn't much you can do about the tone of your skin in one week. DDF makes some great products that treat hyper-pigmentation. They are holistic and made to not irritate sensitive skin, but they can take a couple of months to work. In the meantime, visit the cosmetics counter of you're local better department store. There you can find products made specifically for your skin type. You can also try foundations BEFORE you buy them, so you'll know you have a perfect color match.

Okay, 1. calm down. Stress can induce a break out. 2. Wash your face 3 times a day with a VERY gentle cleanser. Follow up with toner and then a light face cream. 3. If possible get a facial done as soon as possible. (don't get one within 3 days of the event because sometimes they can make you break out a little.) 4. Clean out your whole system by eating really healthy this week and drink lots of water. 5. Do a bit of hard exercise until you are really sweating and your pores are cleaning themselves out. You will be glowing by the end of the week. Good luck.
