It is terminal and he and my mother in law aren't talking about it. Does anyone know anything about this? We aren't close so I really can't ask them how much time he has left.

One of my room mates was diagnosed with T.B a few days ago I had told him to go check it out when it started but he just would not here it. This went on for 3 months he had really bad cough attacks and would not take care of him self. I had a nurse come to my house and explained to me that I had to get tested because he was a level 4 she did not explain to much but I’m kind of scared she is coming to my house tomorrow to give me the test. Don’t know what to do… I guess what I’m trying to say is what can happen to me If I I’m infected? should i tell my girl?

I was diagnosed with Vertigo in March 2005, almost three years ago. I saw a nurology specialist who conducted CAT scans, EKG's, MRI on the brain etc, all of which were negative. Spent a week in hospital. He then referred me to an ENT specialist who conducted a hearing test (my hearing was fine), also a EKG was showed very little wrong, test on my TMJ joint were also fine. I was prescribed over the years, duirtects (which had little effect) reduction in salt in my diet (didn't work), serc (didn't work), bonamine (a type of meclizine- didn't work). I have now been dealing with this- as I said for almost three years. I have had lateral vertigo constantly, it feels like i am on a boat. I do not get any spinning motion, thank god! However, my day to day life is affected, I have problems standing, sitting, laying down. The only relief is in the car, as the car is moving. Just wondering if anyone had any recommendations.?? I can provide more details if necessary. thanks

About 2 months ago, I was placed in the hospital after the biopsy they did on my left kidney went wrong. The needle went too far and punctured an artery in my kidney. It took alot of time and procedures to get the kidney to stop bleeding and functioning well again. Well, recently after having a renal scan, my docor told me that my kidney isn't functioning well at all. In fact, he said that I have a very poor functioning left kidney. He said that the wise decision is to remove it sense there is too much damage done to try and repair it. He said that my right kidney is in good health though. He also said that sense my blood pressure is stablized and I'm not in any pain, that he would want to wait to remove it due to the scar tissue around the kidney from all the procedures I had done in the hospital. I know that people live normal everyday lives with just one kidney. I guess my question is what will I need to change in my life to make sure that I am taking care of my last kidney?

Alright, so just to let everyone know, I have a doctor's appointment set for tomorrow, I just want to see if anyone has gone through what I am experiencing or has any tips to make the dizziness subside without a prescription (I will more than likely get one tomorrow, but I don't have it today)

When I went to bed on Christmas Eve, I took my 10 mg Zolpidem (generic for Ambien). I had not had the pills in a few days. About 10 minutes after I took the pill, I started getting much more dizzy than how I feel when I normally take it. I couldn't even move my head without the room spinning. I thought it might have been because I hadn't taken them in a few days and that it would subside when I woke up. It did not go away when I woke up, and it lasted all day and is still here today (1 1/2 days later). What could be causing the dizziness? I'm not nauseated any more, but I still have to be very careful walking through the house. Any means of getting the dizziness to go away will be appreciated.

I have had consistent "concentrated" headaches, coupled with dizziness and occasional 2-sec blackouts. My GP told me there was nothing, but to be risk free, to take a brain MRI. Now its due in 3 days. I am worried about the cost, but is the procedure and implications itself something to worry about? I have sinusitis, so it could be sinus headaches for all I know, and it pains me to think I'm wasting my Dad's money.

Then again, whats the price value of a life?

I have had a battery of test due to a few episodes with chest and jaw pain. I found out my heart is functioning well, but it is rigid. Rigid, because of extreme stress is what I was told. I am obese, and my cholesterol Other than this everything is fairly normal. Now I find my hands and feet are swelling, the left side being the worst. I have mentioned this to my doctors and they don’t seem to feel any need for alarm. But I am miserable with this and am on so many drugs because I have fibermialgea, that I am afraid to self medicate. I think a diuretic would help. But am afraid of mixing meds What kind of a Doctor do I seek for help.

Alright, first off, is it possible to have all three of those conditions at once?

Second, and my main question is what medications would you need to take for these conditions? I'm looking for names and what they do (Not necessarily things like Pill "A" inhibits the endorphins, Pill "B" excites the neurons, etc. More like Pill "A" controls the voices, Pill "B" is a sedative, etc. Simpler things. You can explain them in a bit of detail, but I'm not a medically-minded person, so I may not understand some of it. )

two weeks ago I noticed a lump like thing in my lower abdomen, near my left fallopian tube.
I know most of you will say to go to the doctor's and I plan to... I just want to know if anyone else has had something like this happen to them and if so what was it?
I'm only 22, and my husband and I plan on having more kids. we have a 2 year old right now...
also, the night I noticed this thing... I was in a great deal of pain, but since then I haven't been. I've had my cycle for Dec. since I noticed it too, and I can still feel it.
please, let me know if you've had something like this happen to you or someone you know and what it was.
thanks

Its December 26 and I am almsot 100% sure that I had a gallbladder attach a few days ago. I went to my doctor and hopefully I'll get in to a ultrasound to find out for sure in the next two weeks. Its been 5 days since the attach and my upper stomach/shoulder is soooooo sore. I'm trying to eat better but I wasn't a healthy eater before so find it hard now. My question is that in the second week of Feb ((two months from now)) I was heading on a 6 week dive holiday. If it is gallstones then will i be able to have the surgery before then and heal and be fine. Also where do they cut you...will I be bikini ready?? Also if the surgery is usually scheduled months in advance then will I be ok in another country and to go scuba diving??? Please help.

I know some people who can't focus on a subject or project because contacts or cataract vision has taken their attention away. I also know that if one cataract is removed and you try to see with both eyes you won't be able to stand up you'll be too dizzy because the eyes are seeing two different things. I also know that when you get glasses what you see is smaller than it really is, and I know that when you get cataract implants what you used to see will now be a little larger and there is an adjustment period you have to go thru. So if seeing is so important to communicating and thinking, shouldn't people with mental problems, or even with dementia or alzheimers, have their vision tested to see if the vision is what's causing the problem? What do you think?
