two weeks ago I noticed a lump like thing in my lower abdomen, near my left fallopian tube.
I know most of you will say to go to the doctor's and I plan to... I just want to know if anyone else has had something like this happen to them and if so what was it?
I'm only 22, and my husband and I plan on having more kids. we have a 2 year old right now...
also, the night I noticed this thing... I was in a great deal of pain, but since then I haven't been. I've had my cycle for Dec. since I noticed it too, and I can still feel it.
please, let me know if you've had something like this happen to you or someone you know and what it was.
thanks

First of all I am bothered by the fact that you say that when you lie down you can feel a lump in your abdomen. Secondly, I would like to tell you I have had personally experienced uterine fibroid tumors, ovarian cysts, and abdominal hernia. None of this conditions are to be taken lightly. If you are at the point where you can feel a lump of any kind you need to be seen by your doctor immediately! They will need to perform the appropriate test to determine what this "lump" is that you are feeling. As I mentioned all of the conditions that I experienced above required surgery to be corrected. I am fine now and have three beautiful children, but you need to make sure that you are taking steps in the right direction so that you will not jeopardize your chances of fertility.

I'm not a doctor. Hey, relax the worst thing you can do is to psyche yourself out. Sometimes doing strenous exercicise can cause hernias.I'm not a doctor but it sound to me like it could be a hernia, or a malformed pregnancy. You shouldn't put off seeing a doctor in your case. Get it checked out ASAP! How do you know its in your fallopian tube and not in your small intestine. It could be appendicitis or any medical anomaly. For your piece of mind go to a doctor. Don't think the worst. It could be a ectopic pregnancy, meaning that the fetus attached itself to your fallopian tube instead of your uterus. Seeing I'm not a doctor I suggest you make a list of your symptoms and let the doctor know them. Hope your get better and feel great. Best wishes, goobers

My girlfriend had this happen. It turned out to be a malignant tumor, but they removed it before it got out of control. I'd suggest getting a doctor's visit soon, but it's up to you. But keep in mind that every day you wait could be killing you, and you're 22 and have kids. Don't put it off. My mom is dying of para neoplastic encephalitis because she procrastinated about going to get it checked out. They say if she'd come in a just a few days earlier, things would have been all right.

Sorry I can't offer any personal experience on that topic, but as you said, definately see a doctor ASAP. Seeing a qualified person who you know and trust to do an inspection of you will ease your worries. You are young so I don't believe there will be much to worry about, just find out some family history etc.
Hope you feel better soon =)

It could be a tumor, either benign or malignant, but it also could be a cyst, or even possibly a hernia. I'm a guy, but I got a cyst in my groin area which was very unsettling until I knew what it was. Good luck, I'll say a prayer for you.

You really need to see a gynocologist. No need to be afraid, but since you want to have more children, check it out.
No one could possibly diagnosis this for you without a full exam.
