Whenever you have surery and are put to sleep - no clothing of any kind is allowed except for the hospital gown. Reason being - just in case something happens while you are on the operating table and they need to help you in other ways. I;m sure you will be fine - nothing will happen. Gallbladder sugery is OK. You won;t even know your not wearing any undergarment. Good Luck.

No the bra would actually be in the way of the surgeon, the gallbladder is just up by you rib cage. The chance of it contaminating the area would be too great. You will be really uncomfortable should an infection arise.

You'll be out like a light, and they'll let you put it back on in recovery. You won't have much time to feel uncomfortable. They have to have full access to you incase something goes wrong. Nothing usually does, but I'd hate to be that one person wearing a bra, and they were unable to get it off in time. It makes me more comfortable to know they're doing everything they can for me.

No constrictive clothing is allowed as it would interfere if there were complications such as an adverse reaction to the anesthesia.

You go into surgery wearing a hospital gown - nothing else.
You won't be uncomfortable, you'll be asleep! :o)
Good luck!
