Over the last 3 days I have had 3 extremely heavy nosebleeds.2 to-day lasting for 3/4,1hr long litteraly pouring, went to my local hospital where it was cauterised,but Dr was not convinced it was nasal vascular, BP was normal Anyone any other suggestions what it could be?

My son is 4, sometimes he still has accidents, and the other day on such an occasion I noticed his urine smelled like maple syrup. I looked into MSUD and read that if it hasn't been caught within the first week of life it's generally fatal, but he's been very healthy his whole life. What other things could cause his urine to smell like maple syrup?

Hi i'm 22 an i have been having leg pain every since i could remember. When i would walk or stand for a long period of time my legs would ache like a tooth ache. I can only stand up for 2 hours before my legs would just start to ache. Sometime its both of them sometime its just one. When the weather changes it hurts really bad then. It dosn't happen that offten but every now an then they would hurt while sitting down for a long period of time i'm talkin maybe about 8 hours. I have been to the docotor an had x-ray done they rulled out arthritis. But couldn't find a problem with my legs. I have allways ran track started at age 8 an stop at 15. Around 12 i had gotten shin plints an the pain was too much for me to bear. I'm 5'1 105 i have allways been slim. I hope someone could at least send me a the right direction. This has affected my life big time. Thanks in advance

My mum had two blood tests of liver function several weeks ago.
Her Dr. said she need to see a liver specialist and a blood specialist because her Bilirubin is "too high".

My best friend's 20 month-old was diagnosed with this condition after several months of running fevers of 104 to 105 degrees daily. She was tested for leukemia among other things. They said that it usually resolved by removing the tonsils and adenoids. I'm just not sure of what the condition actually is or is actually called. There are apparently 4 or 5 symptoms involved, but they never occur at the same time. The only one that I am aware of is a very high fever.

Last week I had a gastroscopy/endoscopy done. I have had heartburn for years and the doctor gave me Nexium so far but wanted to do this procedure to see inside.

After my procedure he just said I had stomach inflammation and a nodule in my esophagus, which he took a biopsy of. I wasn't able to speak to him more, cause I was still slightly sedated. He booked me to see him in about 2 months for a follow up.

In 2 weeks the biopsy results are due also. I know I have to wait and see but has anyone had the same result from a gastroscopy? If so, what's the stomach inflammation all about and how did I get it? How do I solve it? What about this nodule? I don't want to wait for 2 months to get on this. I want to start changing whatever it could be that caused this.

Note: The one thing I know is that I have been very stressed on and off over the past 2 years with a hard relatioship.

I have a brother who was diagonised with epilepsy when he was 2 year old. He is now 21 year old. he has been using the drug phenobarbital for the last 20 years. he has develped behaviours which look like the side effects of phenobarbital. these are:
Hyperactive.
Restless.
Unable to sleep.
AggressiveListless.
Depressed.
Tired
What should i do? should i change to another anti epileptic drug?
Which drug has the least side effects?
Do the side effects of any drug has the same effects on different people?

And you tryed helping and talking to her but she doesn't really listen or do anything about it? Hear is the situation, say your sister is a disable person and she lives in a house that she loves but she has mouse's(or Rats) in her home, and you go there and you can see the mouse droppings on the floor, on the counters in kitchen and on the stove... and she just cleans them up when she cleans up evryday. And they live in her son's bed inside the box springs, you can see the mouse holes there! ( He is Grown not a child by age!) They seem to be really bad and you worry about her health and tell her and she has no money to do anything with, and she;s afraid to tell the landlord, and she has pets and is afraid to put down mouse posion for there sake, they might eat it and die, so what can you do or tell her to do?? when you tell her to move, she refuses!! She can't afford nothing, but she could get help being disable but she don't want an apartment, she loves her home!!
