Im an animal lover myself, but i do believe that we do have to use animals to test these new treatments, otherwise we would have to use humans and after what happened in England recently, where human testers(trying to make a few pounds)almost lost all their lives

There are computer models that try to predict how a drug will react in humans. These are often used by drug companies, because they're cheaper and faster than animal testing. But the model is only as good as the programmer's specs. So once the model says it's good, I think you still have to test on animals. I'd rather a mouse or little fuzzy bunny or dog or monkey has a drug reaction than my kid.
