These are things we did not deal with totally, drugs are stronger and more lethal and diseases no longer a shot and an embarrassment but may result in death.

I have opted not to take the Interferon treatment, can someone give me some alternatives to healing the liver with supplements, health choices, or alternative medicines. My liver enzymes are elevated into the 100 range. I contracted this through a blood transfusion 20yrs ago, as well as my twin daughters who also have hep c, I am not a drinker, nor have I ever been.

We have been together for 4years and I feel like I'm ready now to have kids when I haven't been for 26 years. I've recently had an abnormal pap smear where my doctor found high grade lesions and I had the procedure done to remove them from my cervix. Right now I feel confident that the time is now to have kids, now or never, but I don't know how safe I am from having unprotected sex with my boyfriend who has hpv also. what should i do, should i not try to have kids with him or should I?

I got my wisdom teeth pulled & cut out about 2 weeks ago. All 4. I got a really bad infection where a huge abscess grew in my neck and they had to drain it out. I was in the hospital for 5 days cause they had to put an IV antibiotic in my arm. Finally, i went home on oral top notch antibiotics. I had a tube left in my throat where the infection can drain and when it finally stopped, i had it removed. Now i have puss & blood coming out of my neck and im scared. The oral surgeon (whos the best in the state) said i will be okay cause it is coming out instead of staying in and to go the emergency room if it gets bigger or if i get another fever. Also said the antibiotics will clear it up in due time. Does that sound right? I am healthy young active girl who never had any health issues. It has been so scary for me. What do you think? has anything like this happened to you?

My friend got throat and sinus infection of Staphylocuccus aureus. Her doctor said that there is no way to treat it with antibiotics, since it will develop resistance and it will do no good. He said just to live with it and try to boost the immunity. Is this how contemporary medicine deals with this infection? Are there no antibiotics available? Should she get a second opinion?
