Yes, the bubonic plague is alive and well in the United States - carried by prairie dogs, and ground hogs

Well, Prairie Dog, if you have fleas similar to those the rats of the Black Plague, then yes, I believe you might be a carrier. ;)

No I think the animals that carry anything are woodchucks. There is even a tongue twister about how much wood a wood chuck would chuck etc.
